My neighborhood grocery store. Prices are decent with a club card which is free. Register with your number and thats how you use it so no need to carry around another card. Mobile app has coupons loaded as well as exclusive digital coupons you need to use your phone and app to scan a physical coupon barcode inside the store. Also every dollar spent you earn fuel rewards for discounted gas at any Safeway or chevron gas station. Best to rack up to the cap at $1 off per gallon. I fill up from E and save around $18. This store also delivers, same day if you do it early enough. Stars deducted for self check out always pausing and paying for assistance from the self checkout attendant. Literally happens 2 - 3 times each time I shop. Western union is ALWAYS out of order which is annoying as I use the service frequently. Better served at the nearby local Riteaid right at the corner there cross street with Meeker. And dont buy cigarettes here as not only a hole will burn in your lungs, but in your pocket as the prices for cigs are outrageous. About $3 more per pack vs everywhere else.

Ive been a loyal shopper at Safeway since 2005 , They have great deals and decent quality food better than winco or Walmart in my opion. But I was racially profiled and it changed my whole shopping experience with safe way. Everyone was given their alcohol , and mine was taken to the front only after the alchohol clerk asked me twice in a condescending tone that he needed to take it to the front and if Im okay with that. I replied yes. When I made it to the front I noticed everyone else had their alcohol besides me. The cashier seemed annoyed that I had nothing at checkout in my hand. I told her that I asked for alchohol in its isle and for some reason he needed to take it ,the clerk snidely replied its for theft risk and walked away. Ive never felt so humiliated in my life, like Ive shopped at this Safeway weekly since moving into this area 10 months ago. Ive purchased alchohol before and always been given my alchohol, so I know with out that I was racially profiled.

Unless you pay attention to sale prices and club card specials, " normal" prices are quite pricey. For me, is more of a convenience grocery store because it is close to my apartment. Decent selection of organic products with their store brand O organics. Highly recommend getting a club card and getting the app on your phone. The app is excellent and easy to navigate. Clipping digital coupons, whether it is "Weekly Add " coupons or " Manufacturer Coupons" is a breeze. Safeway also has "personalized deals" based on your shopping history offering different excellent prices on things you buy often. For example, for me: Almost $4 off on rotisserie chicken. One of the best features of the app is that you can build shopping list thats organized by ailes of your chosen store. 1 star off because it is quite crowded most of the time I shop there and not very many registers open.

Its ok. Daytime is fine. At night there are a good amount of shady individuals who are not in the area to buy bread or milk. Enough that I didnt feel safe getting from the store to my car, and Im not a small guy, and not usually afraid of anyone who may cross my path. Have a friend who was threatened with a knife in the far end of the parking lot late at night. Its sad that people dont respect themselves or others enough to behave decently. It drags the whole atmosphere down. This has zero to do with race, literally. Im talking about every type of person you can think of. There are other areas surrounding Seattle with a similarly wide range of ethnicities, that have maintained a positive and community-centered feeling. This part of Kent is not one of them.

Today (10/15/16) is the second time that I stood in line waiting to place my order for their Chinese Food and when the server got done with her customer, she asked whos next and before I could answer, another customer ran off his order. I reminded both of them that I had been there waiting, the customer smiled and kept ordering and she continued to take his order. When she was done, I said something to her about how rude that was. She smirked and said, "all I can say is sorry". I told her that this wasnt the first time this happened and she seemed unconcerned about it. I told her that I will no longer be ordering from them again. NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Decent clean well stocked but Ive found ever since safeway bought out Albertsons the lines in all the Stores are rediculas most all hours as they never have enough checkers customer Service is almost non existent..prices are steadily going up im shopping at fred meter and QFC alot more than i used to as the prices are getting closer and no lines but i like safeways meat better so it sucks theyve gotten so bad..Soon Safeway will have lost a customer with a family of Five.

We Are Loyal To This Store Because Weve Never Had A Negative Experience There. The emPloyees Are Always Friendly And Helpful. The Manager There Seems To Genuinely Care About The Store And The Customers Satisfaction And Experience In The Store. We Have Had A Couple Interactions With The Manager, He Was Extremely Nice And Helpful. We Have Been To Other Store Locations, But This Safeway Is Our Favorite And Is The Best Of Them...I Credit That To The Manager And Employees.

I used to come here alot as I lived down the street from here about 3 almost 4 years ago but I came here as a stop in this day and the employees were playful with the tiny humans lol it sure was cute it truly made my day to see that there is such compation and the woman who tended me was such a sweetheart and truly dedicated to make it a better place for customers great all around trip what to go Safeway

Kinda average, kinda good. Selection is limited and location is not great, but the feel is good. It feels like a place where you can shop with happiness inside of you. The staff are okay too. Theyre not mean or anything. Sometimes they have stuff that is too expired for me to buy and I have to tell them it is expired so they will prevent other unaware customers from tripping.

Its got good prices, but the massive amount of gang graffiti on their fence sort of freaks me out. I hardly see any graffiti in Kent until I reach Safeway! Its all over the place! BUt that area is where the people who pretend to be homeless hang out! They meet there in the back in the morning and then the four of them beg at various locations.

I was approached by 2 different women on the way into the store. One said shes a mom and needs money for motel for her and her kids til she can get hud houding, the other just wanted money for a soda....inside I had good service at the meat counter and helped out the lady outside a little. Not for me to judge necessity. I liked her.
