OUTRAGE!!! SOOO OFFENDED/ DISAPPOINTED I WILL NEVER RETURN!!! while shopping in the store today, I began to fill my basket... Spending a few min. in isles WITH several employees which i spoke to, and got price checks from on a few items, and was moving along. I had a few small packs of rhinestones in my hand preparing to make a color comparison with some leather paint I was looking for in the next isle and so far unable to find. When my phone gave a ping... I checked it, and what do you know Michaels WiFi network nice! I put my phone away. I look back down at the fabric paint selections, having only been in the isle maybe a min. no more than two. an employee came asking if i needed any help... lots of employees, prompt help i am in customer service heaven!! I let the fella know I am on the hunt for leather paint..... he tells me "FIRST you need to remove the items from your purse."!!!! For half a second I think hes joking... He is not. I tell him that I do not have any items in my bag..I politely let him know that I had checked and replaced my phone while demonstrating the action, AND opening my bag allowing him a good look onside! He mentioned the items in my hand. to which i replied "they are in my hand." At this point he lets me know that they do not carry leather paint and walks away ZERO apology!!! I shake my head, I have gone from very pleased, to confused, to offended and disappointed, on now to very upset with this rude accuser in a matter of moments. Now I leave the isle after him and I give him the items in my hand letting him know that he not have my business in as polite a tone as I can muster.... When he grabs hold of my hand basket and tells me that I need to leave the store.!I I tell him no problem and am out the door and will never return!! I own my own business. I have spent enough of my life in retail and customer service AND loss prevention to know that this is never how you treat a customer EVER! I would give zero stars if possible.

Zero Customer Service! Spent 2+ hours shopping the store with my friend from out-of-town. After bringing my purchases to the register, the computer system suddenly crashed and ceased to accept credit/debit cards and gift cards. After 15 minutes or so, they figured out a way to override the major cards, but they couldnt accept my gift card (that they had balanced checked when I first walked in) and told me I had to come back later and see if their system was back up. I asked if they could call me and let me know when it was up, but they refused. I was most upset about the fact that they wouldnt go to any great lengths to make me happy or service me and didnt seem to care at all that I was upset, that the trip was out of my way, or that I was going to write a bad review. They didnt seem to care about making money or customer service at all. Will not ever return to this store.

Chase Service

One stop shop for me other than rubber bands! Staff was extremely helpful with guiding me to where things were when asked and had very positive attitudes! An employee named Ben made sure I had everything and brought me to the cashier and checked me out quickly and had me on my way! (Last minute science project due the next day and this visit being within closing of 30min, whoops haha!) Kudos to this store for also being active with what I saw was a craft club event going on aswell! Great store entirely!

If youre looking for basic materials and paints go hear. If youre a more serious artist check out places like "Artist & Craftsman Supply" in Tacoma. Not a fake review or advertising for them but this is where I go to get superior quality paints and canvases at prices that Michaels would charge for an inferior quality product.

OUTSTANDING customer service! Very helpful staff. I wish Michaels offered more in-store products as they do on their website. Overall, a fantastic alternative to other craft stores such as Hobby Lobby. Be sure to go on the Michaels website and obtain the 50% off coupon, good for one item per day.

Gotta love when you call ahead to make sure they have something, drive 45 minutes to get there, and find out they dont actually have them. Waste of my time and gas and the staff was RUDE AS HELL about it.

Rebecca is awesome! I called ahead from LA to reserve some stuff for wedding invitations and she called around to every Michaels in the area to put things on hold for me. She was great!

Great place to shop for arts and crafts. The only issue is that the only way to get decent pricing is to wait for a 40 to 50 percent coupon.
