I only come to this store when I know what I want and can get in and out as soon as possible. Customer service is very poor, usually concerning the people who work the cutting counter and floor. Whenever I have a question to ask I always feel like the employees just stopped themselves short of scoffing at me and rolling their eyes. The other day I was trying to ask if there was a way to back-order a licensed fabric, and the lady was plain rude and very defensive about not having the fabric. I wasnt blaming her for not having the fabric I wanted, but she made me feel like I was about to and that she HAD to stop me right there and explain that I may have to wait two months for it, when my question was just if I could (of course she never answered my question). Even when the cashiers are being nice, they do it with an disdainful attitude. I wish this store had better customer service, but I just found out there is a Hancock Fabrics closer to the freeway on 196th that I will probably take my business to instead.

Poor selection, unhelpful staff, and disorganized layout. They were out of basic white upholstery thread, of all things, and the cutting lady cut my fabric while I was away from the counter and had not confirmed with me on the actual dimensions. She did her math and only added half an inch on each side. Well, I took the fabric home and washed it (like youre supposed to before sewing) and guess what? It shrunk more than 1/2" and is now useless. And of course you cant return cut fabric. FML I wish more space was devoted to actual fabric, notions, and craft supplies instead of to cheap "home decor" from China. And I wish they employed people who know the basics of sewing. Youd think they would be convincing you to buy *more* fabric, not forcing you to buy less fabric which you then cannot return when it doesnt quite fit your project.

As there are very few options for buying fabric, I find myself at Joann out of necessity when I cant get to Pacific in Seattle. The selection of apparel fabric is very limited and poor quality. There are a couple very lovely ladies with excellent knowledge gained from years of sewing experience. Then there are a few who I find less lovely, and one who I will leave the store to avoid. Some staff members seem to find customer questions irksome and communicate this through short, impertinent responses. Overall, my experience with staff has been too inconsistent and the overall quality leaves much to be desired. When possible, avoid the staff at the front registered and direct inquiries to those at the cutting table.

So disappointed! Not 1 person working the floor to help you find anything, 10+ people deep in line and only 2 registers open. You have a handicapped register but it doesnt matter if you are handicapped you still have to wait in the long line to check out. I am handicapped and have asked about this in the past and have not gotten an answer. Looks like Ill be going to Hobby lobby or Michaels from now on, its a little bit longer drive but customer service is worth it.

I needed help with fabric and was told by the "cutting table" employee that they would help me when they (2) were done with their current customers. It took forever and there certainly wasnt any sense of hurry. When the first employee did finish I expected to be next. However, she called a number out and helped someone else. I didnt know to "take a number" nor was it mentioned. I left and wont be back. Thats OK as I dont want to be in their little craft club anyway.

Customer service is awful. The Staffs attitudes suck. No one likes to answer any of my questions and didnt want to show me where something I was looking for. They would just point in the direction instead of actually showing me. Im new to the area so I wasnt familiar with the store... I dont know where else to get my things for sewing, the Hand cock store up the street has closed down. I feel very uncomfortable shopping at this Jo Anns :-/

Its nice to have a brick & mortar store for fabrics... You can touch, see & feel the textures of the fabrics instead of purchasing sight unseen in the virtual world. A nice arrangement of materials. Im not sure if they have enough staff on hand, but the store was a bit in disarray... But if they are understaffed, its understandable... well still support this brick & mortar store for what it is!

This is the best store in the area but the customer service is terrible. The employees seem like they wish they could be anywhere but there. I dont think it is their fault though since they are chronically understaffed. Its a mad house during the sales and a 45 min wait at the cutting table is pretty common. They do have the best selection so as long as you dont need help with anything its great.

This store has a good selection of crafting supplies, and they do a great job on framing. The framing counter employee helped us choose a frame and matting that complemented our painting, and the work was cleanly and carefully executed. The prices are high, though, so I would recommend only going in armed with a handful of (their very frequent) coupons.

A staple location - I do a lot of crafts and outside of specialty stores this is my go-to. Drawbacks: limited/generic supplies, the cutting table is almost always a 30-60 minute time investment, and I can think of 3 examples of enough cash registers open to meet the needs of customers trying to make purchases.

No matter what day or time (including the times shown on their website to be the busiest), they NEVER have more than 2 ppl at the registers! On Saturday, at 11am, with 17 ppl in line (seriously- I counted)- you got it- 2 registers open. Ridiculous. I walked out without buying what I went there for.

I love getting a cup of coffee and wandering around for an hour or two, imagining all the possibilities. I am a wargamer, so Jo anns is a great place to pick up brushes, plastic storage cases, and material for making terrain. Aside from the wierd looks i get, it is a most enjoyable time.

Big store with more than enough selection of everything arts and crafts. Some other Jo-anns are small and cramped and hard to get around, but this one has a lot of space. The cutting counter can get pretty busy and backed up so I will take a number then go get the fabric I need.

I receive coupons all the time, so I shop for papercrafts at Jo-Anns. They have an awesome selection of 12 x 12 and 8 x 10 single sheet paper. Also embellishments, cutting boards, die-cut supplies, you name it. Oh, and I guess they have other crafting items, too!

Both times Ive gone, this place has seemed very under-staffed, but the staff on-duty remained cheerful and helpful and got to me as quick as they could. They also helped me figure out how to save the most I could by giving me guidance on the coupons I wanted to use.

I shop at Joanns a lot, and always wonder why there us always such a long line to checkout, especially on the weekend. They should help the economy and hire more help! Also a super long line at the cutting table...so frustrating!
