Honestly right about average for a Mexican store... The usual layout, everything is within reach below 5 feet. The vegetables look like theyve been there for weeks, I guess that can be said for everything except for the meat in the carniceria. They have a decent selection of fresh meats. Theres a section way at the back of the store that sells fresh out-of-the-oven style tortillas and I guess a kitchen where they make very good Tamales. If the store wasnt so filthy, I would have rated it above average. Theres a nice shelf of very tasty "pan dulce", but make sure youre getting fresh fluffy breads, there are some there that I wouldnt feed to a dog. Other than that, theres not much of anything special at this store. Parking is average, but something to keep in mind is you cant enter the store parking lot from 4th Ave (Emander Rd.) Ive seen cars try and they end up tearing the underbody because of a cement block thats blocking that area. I have no idea why it looks like an entrance but its not. The only way to enter is through Evergreen Way. Also, make sure you lock your car.

I discovered Tienda Chapala when I was getting gas. I thought I would check out the little mercado and see what they had. The owners are great, super friendly. I found out they have carnitas and decided to wait for some fresh carnitas. When they came out I was really impressed....el sabor era perfecto. Im definitely coming back! This is a great carniceria y tienda. And great service!

The sign says "come try something different" and I have yet to be disappointed. We love their tamales! But everything looks and smells amazing. They have a fresh salsa bar, and the flan looks yummy! I want to try the alambres and the quesadillas. Good place to go to watch futbol or telenovelas! It is a great little neighborhood deli!

Took 30 minutes to get a torta. There was no rush and two other people waited longer than me. 14$ for a torta and a soda. The bread was good but everything inside was gross. Who puts nasty hot dogs on everythibg?

Its okay. Wish they had more products from other countries as it is called tienda latina. Specifically more South American ones. Other than that it looks pretty decent selection.
