The manager of this thrift store needs some training in terms of being friendly and kind to customers. She falsely advertises items by placing a sign in front of all the coats that says, "ALL Winter Coats 50% off" and if you try to purchase coats on that rack with the sign, that she decides arent "winter" she refuses to honor the sale. She needs to understand that the term "winter" is different for customers who are visiting Everett from Florida or other sunny winter climates. When she misleads customers who then wont purchase the coats at full price, she becomes rude. I also believe she is overpricing items by pricing them based upon what sellers on the internet are "asking" NOT what they are actually selling them for. Both of these behaviors are going to cost this store a great deal of business, as the customers who shop here are often struggling to make ends meet. She should be supporting the community by offering donated goods for much lower prices. In the end, she would get more customers and more money for the store if she adopts a supportive motivation rather than one of greed. Since she is the only paid employee her attempts to "control" customers to get more money has polluted the whole store. Domestic Violence is about power and control and her behavior causes customers to feel emotionally unsafe. The volunteer ladies are kind and helpful, most likely because they are working there from a place of generosity, rather than getting peoples money for their paycheck. They seem to understand that when a woman leaves her abusor, she also leaves her financial security and although she may not be living in a shelter, she can go from riches to rages overnight. Her abusor removes the money from her in an attempt to keep her from leaving. Some people can only afford to shop there when the manager wants to "get rid of items," and therefore is willing to lower the prices. Even then, her motive is NOT to help the poor be able to afford nice clothing, but rather to make room so she can sell more expensive items. Once again her motives are completely selfish and controlling. The donors of this store are wonderfully generous and most likely donate in order to support victims of DV, but instead this manager is using their items to abuse victims.

The first time I came in, my roommate at the time was with me and acted beyond shamefully. The employees are volunteers and had asked us to finalize our purchases as it was closing time. They were very gracious when he threw a temper tantrum about it. Very appalling for a 34yo grown man. I almost didnt come back out of shame. I did return several months after I became pregnant and they were just as gracious and kind. The store itself is rather small and the selection isnt as large as say goodwill, but theyre funding something that shouldnt be necessary but is. The prices are reasonable and what is there is in good shape. Unlike many thirty stores that put lots of broken items on their shelves, I didnt find a single broken thing here. I will be donating my clothing and baby items to them when I move out of state in a couple months. A great cause and wonderful staff.

DO NOT DONATE. We loaded a truck up with well used belonging. An oak kitchen table, 2 lamps, one brass, one ceramic, an IKEA desk that been used briefly, nearly brand new, and a bookcase that was slightly damaged on the back, but I thought they could take the back off and use it to display items. I had seen a the news report that they needed things. My son took the time and spent gas money to drive all the way up from Seattle to Everett, as a favor to me, and they took nothing. This was good stuff, but not good enough! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY. They dont need it. Give it to an organization that does!

I shop in this store often and have always found good things at good prices...and I have donated as well. Before I wrote this I was shocked to see a recent earlier review. I dont know what happened, I wasnt there, but it is SO inconsistent with what Ive experienced at this store that I cant accept it. I like the folks that work and volunteer. If I didnt I wouldnt shop here. Its much nicer than the old store as this one looks all new inside and out and has better parking than before. The lighting is great and the displays are always nicely done. Im going again soon!

I love the new location of New and Again! It is bright, clean and full of hidden gems. The staff and volunteers are kind and helpful. I much prefer to shop at a true non-profit. (unlike for-profits thrift shops such as Goodwill and Value Village) New and Again Thrift shop benefits Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish Co. Sales support DVS programs and the people they are serving. Additionally, I understand the DVS shelter occupants are allowed to come and chose anything they need free of charge. What a great program- win win for everyone!

Good place, run by sweet little old ladies. You can definitely feel a local community oriented vibe her, and prices are decent with good quality items for a thrift store.
