I have overlooked the poor customer service in both the store and the creperie since Nick and Theresa took ownership several years ago, but after today, I just cant do it anymore. Luckily in this time, other shops in town have begun offering gluten free grocery items and meals. Nick is quite friendly and chatty, however the staff he chooses to employ is lukewarm at best and downright rude at worst (today my experience was the latter, as it has been numerous times at Bear Foods). I have worked in customer service for over 20 years myself, across various industries (fast food, fine dining, grocery stores, clothing retailers, and professional services firms) and I make a point of being a pleasant customer because I am acutely aware of what it is like to do the difficult and sometimes thankless job of customer service. That said, I do expect a certain thanks in return. Instead, I feel the staff resents my walking in the store at all. Lucky for them, they wont need to tolerate my presence in their shop again. I will continue to support the many businesses in town who offer great customer service. I just wish Bear Foods was one of them.

Great place for those traveling around the area. Its on the dowtown Lake Chelan strip. Its like a mini Whole foods. I was staying in Lake Pateros town and drove to Bear Foods every day for breakfast at their crepearie where they serve crepes every morning starting at 9:30am. They have many organic, and non-gmo foods to choose from. The breakfast crepes were good and filling, with such ingredients as peppers, sauerkrat, organic eggs, cheese etc. They are kind of like omlets. They also have fresh juice bar juices and u must try their Chai!!! The hot chai was delish with free refills. Also, customer service was excellent, the cook and people working there smile and talk to customers making sure everyone enjoys their meals. I drove from Pateros to there every morning for breakfast while on vacation because it was such a delicious and pleasant way to start each day. I chose that place because of it serving organic and using non GMO oil.

Barely could keep myself away! With a large selection of natural, organic, gluten free, and a plethora of other health food buzzwords, this store had something for everyone from the kid with the sweet tooth to the Grandma wanting her oils. The prices were high, but to be expected for the products they were selling, but do grab a handful of honey caramels on your way out by the register; you will be glad you grabbed more than one. The cafe has a good selection of hearty crêpes and soups and even some fruity spa water to wash it all down.

The staff are so friendly and knowledgable about all the ingredients that go into their food. I love that everything is either fresh, organic, or vegan. Im always looking to try something new and different and there are endless options here. Im so excited to come back and i absolutely recommend it!

If you are a chocolate lover, be sure to look beyond their large chocolate bar department. Look in the top center of the dairy cooler for Honey Mamas several varieties. Yes, most chocolate bars are best un-refrigerated, but these get very soft quickly if not. You are in for a treat!

Favorite store in Chelan. Large selection of products, including personal care items as well as edibles. Friendly small-town service. Lots of locally sourced goods as well as items not found in big chain stores like Whole Foods. Love this store!

Great story and creperie. Enjoy eating there with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Fresh food, friendly people, fun atmosphere. What else can you ask for when visiting Lake Chelan. Loved the green salad with chicken on this visit.

They have a great selection of foods to acomodate peoples allergies. Thete are good vegan choices. There are some fresh foods. Good selection of vitamins. You can find fresh piped popcorn if you just want a quick snack.
