At first, I thought these guys seemed like nice helpful people.... I WAS WRONG!!! I came in to look at a specific car but they had just sold it. Then they proceed to show me a different car. It looked very nice and drove really good. So I payed for the VW Jetta they showed me. $8000 dollars later I sign the paperwork and the car is mine! Not more than a week later the check engine light comes on and I take it in to be diagnosed. There was a vacuum leak, transmission oil leak, and an oil leak. But they said it was ok, it wouldnt hurt the car anytime soon and to continue to drive it. So after paying $200 for the diagnosis, I do just that, trusting their judgement. Not more than a month after that the transmission starts to be a little bit rough. So I went back to them in turn for them to tell me to take it to the VW dealership and have them look at it cause they couldnt do anything for me... I took it to VW Auburn and they told me that my valve cover was bad, so I got to pay $900+ to get that replaced. A week after that, my transmission began to get stuck in 3rd gear, now just a couple short weeks after, the transmission is done for! The car will not drive unless it is in reverse, and hardly even then. Today, I went to talk to these guys to see if they could possibly help me out since I hadnt even had the car for three months and it is already un-drivable. Ridiculous right? They told me that all they could do was call around and get a transmission from another car and then go from there. Them assuming that I was willing to pay for all of this crap. I proceed to ask if I could trade and they said they couldnt do that for me! Bullshit after bullshit they continue to tell me things, trying to stealth by and make them look good like they have helped me somehow... Every time I brought up how they would be helping me, they would change the subject and say they couldnt decide anything until they saw my car, lets keep in mind that I had already brought it to them each time something went wrong so they already knew the condition. I payed $8000 dollars out of pocket for this thing and they continue to try and get more money out of me after knowingly selling me a broken piece of crap car. How low do you have to be to sell a car with a problem like that and yet still try and get more money from me.. To me, it seems that your morals are beyond questionable. These people are selfish and greedy and have no business selling cars to people if they dont have the decency to fix the problems with the car before they sell them to people for a ridiculously high price. Do not trust anything that comes out of their mouths, any of them, its all lies. I completely regret trusting their word that I was buying a reliable car. There was nothing reliable about that car and they knew it, they are mischievous and enjoy tinkering with their cars so they run for a few weeks, then they screw people over and somehow manage to sleep through the night, knowing they are ruining peoples lives. Anyways, my car now sits in my driveway collecting dust since I spent every last bit of extra money on that car and have no money to fix it. I have tried several time to get some sort of help from them, I believe that I deserve that after being screwed over, but they seem to have no remorse for what they did to me. THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP!!!

First of all, my advice is to STAY AWAY FROM DEL TORO AUTO SALES. Here is my story: I bought a 2004 Chrysler Concorde for $6200 this spring that I found online and really liked. It had all the features I was looking for, for a reasonable price, and I went down and talked to Oscar who seemed very helpful. I arranged a test drive, a buyer’s inspection and brought a friend to come with me. The mechanic told me not to go for the car, and calculated repairs for more than $2000. I told Oscar, but he convinced me that they did a full inspection, showed me a piece of paper, and told me that the mechanic was only after my money. Unfortunately, I listened to him. Only a short week after I bought the car, I was making a U-turn, when my steering suddenly stopped working. Really scary, and I got it towed down to Del Toro, because Oscar said he would help me if anything happened. They looked at it and told me the power steering had exploded—and they wanted money to fix it, because I must have caused it. I got it towed again to a mechanic next door and they fixed it for me, as well as the tie rods and some other stuff. I ended up paying $2400 and was not happy about that. I didn’t drive it for more than a half week to a week when something happened again. I pulled off the freeway and was making a stop at a red light, when the car stopped completely and I couldn’t get it started again. I had to get it towed (for the third time) back to the mechanic and they told me the alternator was broken. That was another $1500. The mechanic called me, and told me the battery was broken too which was another $700, and when they replaced that, they found out the engine was broken. They looked for a new one nationwide, but were unable to find one. I went over to Del Toro to talk to them again to see if they were willing to help me. Oscar seemed very sorry, but another guy was acting very rude and impolite and didnt feel any responsibility in this case, and ultimately they threw me and my friend out of the store. Very unprofessional. I ended up calling a cash for junk cars guy to come get it and got $350 for the car that I had spent more than $11,000 on, because every time something happened, I though it had to be cheaper to get it fixed than to get a whole new car. Im also a foreign student at the college nearby, and I really feel like they took advantage of me not knowing exactly what to look for and what to be aware of when I was buying a used car. I say again, my advice is to stay away from Del Toro Auto Sales, and to not let them convince you the buyers inspection is not accurate. Its Del Toro thats really after your money. And for the other positive reviews, I cant imagine that other people than the staff there could have written it.

I recently purchased a used older F150 from Del Toro Autos and I have to say this is my second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership and their service is top notch. 1. I got great a deal on the truck and my trade in 2. They went over the truck with a fine tooth comb and fixed everything up like it was new. 3. They put it up on the lift to check the 4 wheel drive 4. They sewed up a tear in the fabric of the seat 5. They got me a super low interest rate through one of their banking partnerships and they actively hunted for the best rate because at one point it was a higher rate and they found a lower one. 6. The had the Carfax report with all of the service that had been done to the truck 7. They had the service records from the original owner of the truck (it was a fleet vehicle, but the attention to detail and saving that information was excellent) 8. I was worried about the age and the mileage on the truck but they answered all of my questions and double checked everything 9. They were super responsive to my questions and basically go the truck sale turned around in a day 10. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful both in person and on the phone. Best of all, and this is not a fake out, there was no high pressure to get the sale. Just presented me with the facts about the truck and the trade in value of my old truck and let me decide if I wanted to make the purchase. They didn’t jerk me around and basically they just offered me the best deal the first time so I dind’t have to haggle back and forth repeatedly. I am impressed with Del Toro Autos, and will take my business back there again. Give them a try, I mean it’s the least you can do!! Thanks Del Toro, I like my second “New” Truck!!
