Bought a machine from them a few years ago, all of a sudden it started rebooting randomly. Took it back to them to fix, they had it for a few days, stated it was fixed. Got it back, as soon as I bring it home, it reboots again. Took it back, they pretty much said they cant do anything for me. Ok, No problem its about time to upgrade compents anyways. I upgraded CPU, MB, RAM, Video card. Took it all home put it together and it no longer randomly reboots. Obviously it was one of those things that was rebooting it, and instead of them being able to tell me which peice to replace, I had to replace them all to fix the problem. Im happy with my new computer now though, but come to find out that they sold me a motherboard that doesnt work with Dual ATI video cards, only NVIDIA cards. I am very upset by this, so i called back to get swap out with a motherboard that is compatible with dual ATI cards. I specifically said that i would be adding another video card later down the road and they still sold me the wrong motherboard for my video card. called back and they pretty much said to pound sand. Nothing they can do for me. The employees are very rude and snobby. They think they know everything about computers but obviously my situation proves they know nothing. They are out to sell you whatever they have in stock whether its the correct product or not. I would stay away. Theres another computer store in the potomac mall that was very friendly and personal. The guy talked to me for about 20 minutes about my video card problem that GT caused me. And gave me great recommendations on what I should get. I would recommend going to them in the mall before going to the Golden Tech clowns. Good Luck.

Been to this place many times, I first brought my laptop in here for repair because it was overheating. They charged me a fair price, (75$), and I got it back in 1 day!!! Bestbuy, which I went to before I got there said they would take 150$ just to look at it. The guy from best buy actually sent me here and said GT has a quicker turnaround time and cheaper. After having the repair done with them, I decided to go ahead and buy a custom-made PC. I couldnt be any more happier with this computer. Very decently priced, I was originally going to build myself but the sales person talked me into having them build it because of the labor. 1 year on parts and 2 years on labor. When my mouse wasnt working properly with the computer, I called the technicians and they walked me through what I could do and got it fixed!!! I would recommend this place to anyone.

In the past I have bought parts here with no problem. Now I go into get a laptop repaired and they are charging me multiple times for labor, and saying something differant then what was said when i first took the laptop to them. I even told them what needed to be done to the laptop before they looked at it. Now it is going to cost me about the same amount to get a new screen as it would have been for me to get a brand new laptop. I will never shop here again because of this issue, I will wait the two days on shipping and shop newegg for all my computer need in the future.

I bought a laptop several months ago from them and I got a fairly good deal on it. The staff knew there stuff and helped me pick out all my equipment for my home network. They also have a large collection of misc parts cables and stuff you think you will never need but need to get just cause. I really like the fact they are a local company and you dont get that big company its true you can get stuff cheaper online but i rather pay a few more dollars and get good service and someone that cares about there customers.I will continue to buy from them in the future.

Most pleased with my experience 2/19/2010. Needed an AGP video graphic card replacement as mine had fried. Mark Mccullough assisted me and helped determine the card I needed based on my requirements. I was originally headed to Staples due to an online product they had advertised which would have replaced my card fine, but I ended up saving ~$40 and was able to speak to a computer professional. The store was clean and well organized and had an excellent assortment of products. Ive found a important resource in my neighborhood and will recommend it to friends.

For shopping GT is okay, not the best or worst prices but conveniently located for me. In a pinch, its better than waiting for something to be shipped. But when my hard drive was literally fried by an electrical failure, they were able to retrieve all the data for me. I dont recall the exact price, but for a hundred bucks or so they saved me from a disaster.

The cheapest computer store in town, they have everything you could ever need for a pc, the selection of new computer parts and accessories is amazing. Don’t Get ripped off by Wal-Mart or best buy go to GT Computers First.
