Dr Miller is definitely in it for the money. I am a VSP patient and every time I needed new contacts, Penny the receptionist or anyone there alway told me that when you get your allotment for lenses, there was a one time order if you didnt use all of your benefits, you lost the rest. I spoke with VSP and this has NEVER been true. How many times I would order to get the maximum benefit, spending money I didnt have to get my full benefit.MILLER KNEW I WAS A SINGLE PARENT TRYING TO RAISE TWO CHILDREN. He doesnt care, as he always urges you to buy a full year to get your benefits, even if you have a child that needs to be re-evaluated every six months.Now they have added something about retina checking, which if you had any retina issues it surely would be detected with a regular exam. A "real steal" at $39.00, in addition to the exam and anything else they can throw in. Penney actually told me that I shouldnt order lenses off the internet because they usually they are outdated lenses. After I heard that and Miller gave me my 2 sons prescriptions that were incomplete. When I questioned that there should be 2 #s on the prescription, that I wasnt a doctor but I knew that they were incomplete, he requested one of the girls to re-do my prescriptions. They also use scare tactics, the other girl that does the visual field testing told my 14 year old son that he could go blind if he used lenses off the internet, he was gullible and believed her and became frantic that the lenses had to come from Dr. Millers office. Miller I trusted you for around 15 years, you are a scoundrel. He is surely trying to get the most from EVERY patient and doesnt care how he goes about it.. I have a very dependable, knowledgeable Dr. in downtown Norfolk now, that is in the field because they want to help their patients, not gauge them. Andrew S. Miller SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!

Dr. Miller has been my eye Dr. for several years now. His entire staff has always been welcoming and professional. My vision has never been terrible but I found out that my Grandma has glaucoma so I feel that its very important to stay on top of my annual visits. Eye health is critical. The first thing I always notice when I walk into Dr. Millers office is that everyone greets me. Nothing bothers me more than to enter an establishment (regardless of the nature of business) and not be spoken to. They have a really cool optomap machine that shows the entire inside of each eye and Dr. Miller is always very thorough in explaining the pictures. Ive seen many eye Dr.s in my time and In my opinion, he is the best in the business. Hes attentive, considerate and has what seems like 100 years of experience at what he does. The office has a great selection of eye glasses too and I prefer the quality here over any of those one hour places. I happen to have gotten a pair of Coach glasses from here a couple of years back and the glasses and lenses have lasted and still look brand new to this day! I love his Optician, Stacy. She is quite brilliant, completely amazing at her job and is super friendly. I feel like Im family when I go in for my appointments. Dr.s appointments arent usually a favorite thing of mine but with the care, competence and environment in this office, I surely dont mind going.

I have 3 daughters and I needed an eye doctor for all of us. I had heard that Dr. Miller ran a top notch office.... so I decided to try them out. In a word......WOW. We had an absolutely amazing experience. Brianna and I had been in glasses and contacts for ever but my other 2 daughter had so far escaped the need for glasses. When we arrived the check in process was smooth and easily accomplished and the priliminary testing completed by the optician was also smooth and efficient. It is usually a pain to repeat the same thing over and over again regarding our history..... I didnt have to do this with Stacie.... She remembered everything and made it a great experience for me. Dr. Miller was also great when he reviewed his findings with myself and the girls. I was greatly impressed with the idea that while CJ was borderline for needing glasses, Dr. Miller shared that if it was his daughter with that minimal script need he wouldnt get glasses at this time and monitor for changes. THANKS for keeping it real Doc..... you have gained lifetime patients.

I adore Dr. Miller and his friendly staff. I have been a patient since I was 14 years old (and Im turning 40 this year!). I once got a contact stuck on my eye on a Sunday afternoon. I called Dr. Miller in a panic and he met me at his office, free of charge, to get it off for me. He laughed right along with me and I will never forget his kindness in the midst of my freak out. I recently moved from the area, but am toying with the notion of returning to Virginia Beach every 2 years to have him continue my eye care. I would recommend Dr. Miller to anyone in the market for an eye doctor.

I took my teenagers to Dr. Miller and Staff for a routine eye exam. The service was outstanding. They saw Stacy first, then Dr. Miller. He showed them the map of their eye, which they thought was really cool and explained what everything was and that all was normal. He also found a congenital cataract on my daughters eye that no other doctor has bothered to mention to me. Dr. Miller and his Staff are extremely knowledgeable, highly professional and very courteous. I definitely recommend them and we will be going back.

Normally no problems. However, today i was running late for my appointment for my daughter. Ended up getting there 15 minutes late because we ran into traffic coming from portsmouth. 11:45 for an 11:30 appointment. Get there and they tell me dr miller had already left for the day. Even though they dont even close till 12:30. Was pretty pissed. Never heard of a doctor just leaving because a patient was a little late.

I have been going to Dr. Miller for more than 20 years. Always a good experience and great advice. His Optician, Stacy, is also great. It took me numerous tries with different contacts to find ones that were comfortable and worked well. She was very patient, helpful and great customer service. I highly recommend!
