I placed an order on 6/21/2017 at 0750 for a food order, we were feeding 200 people. We were coming to Richmond from Norfolk so the CSR Arnedra told us that it was fine, we can pay when we got there since they couldnt take the card over the phone and the order would be ready Sunday by 1400. We arrive that Sunday the 25th at 1350 and our order wasnt placed, in fact , no one knew anything about our order. The young lady whom I placed the order with said "When did you order? "I dont remember that" and walked away on her phone. At this point Im livid! I ask to speak to the Manager, so Chris comes over, I tell him the issue and he starts reciting policy stating that they cannot fix an order without payment. I let him know what we were told. Name, date and time and he kept telling me their policy instead of training his employees that policy so that they can give out correct information. Thomas (a regular CSR) jumped into manager mode, got our order placed and made within an hour without any direction. THOMAS is the type of manager that every store needs. Hear the problem, identify an alternative and fix it! He was awesome! He turned a terrible situation completely around. If he ever decides to move to Norfolk I would hire him on the spot!

Good work staff, hence the 1 star. Love the growler shop and beer selection. But make no mistake, this place is about as bad as it goes for grocery stores. Im not sure people understand what is actually happening, and thus they dont review accordingly, but this place price gouges almost everything other than their really horrid "essentials" brand. This is the only full sized grocery store in the Fulton/Church Hill/Manchester area, and due to this monopoly, they drive the prices of certain items (like onions and green peppers) to times 3 or 4 of the value. Now I understand that some people might not be tracking in their heads the cost of a onion, or pepper, or different spices, but its grossly inflated here because theres nowhere else nearby that offers it (see monopoly definition). They are blatantly taking advantage of the food desert, and are able to extort an already impoverished populace. Just go to Laburnam Kroger...

Nice store, but I came in on Sunday and was told they werent making anymore liver (it is made to order). I asked what time it cuts off so that next time I know and the guy responded, "Its up to the cook." Mind you, when I first approached the section, one man walked away and another came to the door, looked at me and turned around. I found a lady to help me, but she seemed to be upset that I wanted help! Today I call ahead to see if they are making it and after one phone call disconnect after holding almost 10 minutes, I called and was placed on hold another 5 minutes to be told no. Again I ask for the cut off time and was told that they dont know what it is and the cook isnt even there. Really?

Convenient and well priced for anyone living east of I-95 in the city, in a well known food desert area. The produce is fresh and they have a great wine and beer selection. My only complaint is that 9 times out of 10 when I go in there, the entire store reeks of their seafood counter. Its been so bad some days that Ive turned around and walked back out and driven down Williamsburg Rd several miles to go to another store. That said - I recently ordered a 1 lb of shrimp and had them steamed and seasoned at the counter for my boyfriends birthday and he couldnt stop raving about how great they were. So - the store sometimes stinks, but the seafood IS good!

I have been to this market on several occasions, the cashiers and customer service desk workers can be friendly. Its some of the hot food workers that are rude, unfriendly and lack customer service. They have great baked chicken but the hassle to get a freaking box of chicken is ridiculous and to deal with unhappy staff is another hassle. Share your baked chicken recipe so I would never have to come back! Long lines, to get into the parking lot is a mess. When you decide to go, just pray for patience and guidance to get you through, smh...awful.

The store is generally well stocked and they have a huge selection of local craft beers. However, the overwhelming smell of seafood is enough to make any dock worker run for cover. There never seems to be a good day to go in and on certain days the smell greats you before the door opens. Unfortunately because of this I have started to shop else where and would only go to Starbucks if I was in a hurry and had no other choice. They really need a ventilation system in their meat dept that stops that smell from sti king up the entire store.

This is my FAVORITE market!! The staff is always extremely friendly, the location is ideal and the store is very clean, warm and inviting. From the hot bar to the salad bar, everything is fresh and very well presented. The shelves are always amply stocked and there are a vast variety of options to meet the needs of any dietary preference. There is also a Starbucks conveniently located inside as well. Whether it be for a quick stop or a full on grocery shopping trip, they are sure to fulfill your need.

Are you looking for very overpriced groceries, employees who obviously dont care if customers do or dont return, and an understaffed facility with extremely long lines for checkout to be guaranteed each and every time you shop? Youre in luck! Farm Fresh off Main St. is the place for you! I gave this place an additional star for existing downtown (which makes it convenient) and being somewhat clean. I live across the street, but usually try to avoid this place by driving somewhere else.

Horrible experience--Staff is VERY Rude!!! Most of them are unwilling to help, especially with self checkout. Long lines too. I had a particular experience with one of the cashiers that blew my mind-- if I had ever acted like that at a job , Im sure that I wouldve been fired. Trying to get it resolved was a joke also, just spoke with a female there who seems clueless. This isnt rocket science folks. Guess Ill have to call the corporate office!

I dont understand why this place is getting ANY positive reviews! - I have never seen more incompetent people, all in one place - selection is not really great/ wine is mostly OVER- priced, cheap wines for high price - costumer service?? - take me to Middle Ages- no!, Stone Ages! - cant solve the simplest of problems - scratched their heads like monkeys - shift manager was really drunk and smelled sooo bad! My God! this store is 3rd world quality!

Yesterday a man in a hoodie and sunglasses came in and gave me and the cashier the middle finger as he walked by. He then went over to an aisle grabbed something and walked out. He then started making vulgar gestures outside in the parking lot before getting in a van and driving off. Its not the first time Ive seen weird people at this grocery store. Other than that, the store is nice. A little pricey, but nice.
