CAUTION ABOUT EXPIRY DATE OF DAIRY PRODUCT! I heard so much about the Whole Foods, so I was initially really excited that there is one nearby our new home. When I read the review saying that they sold expired dairy product, I thought it was just one unlucky customers bad experience until I became that unlucky customer!! I bought a 365 Everyday Value (Whole Foods self-brand) unsalted butter there the other day. I have to admit this... I did NOT check the expiry date of the product when I grabbed it partially because I checked most of the other products I was buying there and everything else seemed to be fine, so I kinda let loose of it. After I got home and ready to cook, I took out one stick of the butter and noticed a big black dot of unknown cause but seemingly molds, got cautious and took out the whole box only to find that that specific box of butter was expired more than 15 days ago!!!

Wow, someone else who had dairy product expiration issues! Mine was with ricotta cheese. It was a small batch hand dipped tub of ricotta cheese - usually exquisite, but the last time I bought it, it was clearly past its expiration. I was very disappointed and they were closed by the time I realized the problem and already in the middle of my recipe. Had to scrap the whole thing. On the upside, their fish is consistently fresh and top notch. The staff at the fish counter is great too. Meat counter is hit and miss - they stopped carrying the good La Quercia bacon. Overall, they dont have a wide selection of stuff. Its a relatively small store. Produce is generally pretty great, but their potato selection is pitiful, as is their mushroom selection. Wegmans is better for all that stuff.

$1.00 Cup of coffee lost you my business. I have never experienced such poor customer service within a whole foods establishment. I arrived around noon to pick up my daily lunch and coffee. After making my purchase, the coffee was not available. They said it would be out shortly. at 12:28 I asked if the coffee would be ready. 12:34 the customer service rep who was at the desk said it would be 3-4 more min, BUT she can take my cup to the back and fill it up. The expectation that Whole Foods has set in the past was that I can do this myself, OR I can watch someone make my food and beverages. I will never return to this Whole Foods. I will start to purchase my coffee from Starbucks across the street.

I love Whole Foods, but not the Reston location. The Reston location doesnt have a wide variety of products compared to the Fairfax location. The Fairfax location is almost twice the size, and a wider variety of products. Also, the Fairfax location has a seafood bar, a sushi bar, and a barbecue station(*pulled pork, ribs, chicken). They also have wood oven pizzas freshly made everyday. In response to a an earlier feedback that mentioned expired dairy product, my suggestion is return the product to Whole Foods- with or without a receipt - they usually give you a store credit or cash back for your returned items, and they are not difficult to deal with.

More about their expiration dates! Just had to return candy marked 1/13/12 (although the manager told me it was mis-marked). More troubling was a block of mozzarella cheese marked 3/17/12 (today is 3/13/12) that had mold in many places. Manager barely mumbled an apology. I am so frustrated with this store--this is the third time this year Ive had to return something. Also, they always seem to be out of things they should have (eggplant and kale on Sunday, for example). Its packed in there because there arent many other options in Reston. However, Ive discovered Moms Organic Market in Herndon. Im taking my business there.

I do my weekly grocery at Reston WF store and there was no week when I wouldnt find expired products on their dairy section shelves. First time it was a sour cream which was 2 days expired, I told to guy who works for the store that it was expired and he said that this will never happen again. However, next and all the following weeks I found milk, buttermilk, cottage cheese which were expired. And the most terrible thing was Mango & Wild berry probiotic bars which by the 04/25/2009 had expiration date 02/27/2009!!!! Thats very bad, guys!!! You should check your inventory more often!

Ordered fruit platter with plenty of notice, several days, called the day before and when I arrived it was not ready. Apparently they forgot my order and the person who was supposed to make it was not in. Had to wait almost half an hour. Just today asked for a whole cheese pizza. The guy behind the counter told me, sorry we dont make pizza after 8:30. I said it is 8:30. He said it is managers orders not mine. Manager not around. Gonna do my grocery shopping at mom s going forward. Very disappointing.

I called looking for semolina flour and the guy on the phone said they didnt have it even before looking. I asked him to go look and he responded with "we dont have it". I insisted, he put me on hold for 5 minutes came back to a "hey" not a "hi thanks for waiting" or "thanks for holding" and stated "yeah we do have it" and hung up. I am calling other stores to see if they have it so I can avoid going to Whole Foods.

An oasis in the middle of nothing. This is one of the smaller whole foods you will find. However the only department that seemed lacking are the bulk foods. Only organic, no conventional stuff but with limited space that is understandable. The prepared foods area is what they focus on here. They do a really good job and there isnt a lot else around in this suburban wasteland.

Its whole Foods aka Whole Paycheck... Expensive but its organic... On a good note they have 25 cent coffee sometimes in the morning. Parking is ok compared to other joints. Service is good except for the deli section. I bought a sandwich and it was mushy and not what i ordered. I asked for a refund and they took it back. Took off two stars for the price of items.

I typically visit this store once a week in search of specific items. Originally opened as Fresh Fields and later acquired by Whole Foods, this location is not as spacious and doesnt have the variety of goods and services as some of the other nearby Whole Foods stores. Visit Moms and Trader Joe for consistently better deals.

I found a hard to fine product at this store, Kefir goat milk. The store is clean and employees where busy restocking the shelves half hour before closing. I also loved their cold and hot bar, to pick up something to eat that is nutritious. Cashier was very proficient and I was out door in 8 minutes. Always s great visit.

Waited 35 minutes for you guys open today for the breakfast bar. What a total let down, French toast looked like garbage, eggs had some substance mixed in. Overall I could rant for a while but keep the breakfast bar normal like you do M-F.
