They saved my Christmas dinner!!! We had been out of town for a week and didnt have time to shop for the main meal and didnt want to buy it prior to leaving because we would have had to freeze everything. Everyone knows it takes forever to thaw a bird. We expected to be home before the stores closed but we ran later than expected. Christmas morning I called around, and as expected all the super markets were closed. But I wasnt willing to give up so easy and I expanded my search to Richmond which is an hour deive for me. I found New Grand mart open. They had one more turkey, but it was frozen, so I looked in the fresh meats and they had three frying chickens left. I can make Christmas dinner with chicken!! Im not a huge fan of turkey anyway. BONUS it was organic. And they had everythig else I needed, AND they have some snacks I cant find anywhere else except in international marks such as this one. So off I went and that is how my Christmas dinner was saved. Thank you for being open!! Dinner was delicious thanks to you and you wonderfully friendly staff!!!

Excellent, clean grocery store, that is jamb packed with hard to find items. Gorgeous produce at insanely cheap prices. The quality and price of the herbs, avocados, and citrus alone make it worth a trip out here. The fish counter might smell a bit off, but the fish is beautiful. 95% of the fish here is wild caught, American seafood... very little farmed or from out of the country. Its honestly some of the best fish Ive had in many, many years; on par, and in some cases exceeding the quality of what Ive bought at Yellow Umbrella. The people are friendly, the place is clean, the food is cheap and of the highest quality. Go here. Experience it. Youll love it. Also, there is a little "food court" type area up front with hot Korean dishes. I havent had a chance to eat it yet, but everything looks and smells delicious.

Last night we hit the mart for the first time and were impressed at the size, selection and cleanliness. We picked out a beautiful whole red snapper, wild caught, and they filleted it beautifully for us. We got all of the ingredients to blacken it and make a mango salsa to go on top. We also grabbed a few other things and spent about $25! I think that at other fish markets Ive spent that much just on a pound and a half of fish! I cant wait to go back for mackerel and then to gather all of the ingredients to make sushi. I also look forward to trying their restaurant which has gotten rave reviews! Lastly, their customer service was timely and kind. Thank you New Grand Mart, we will be back!!

They finished this too months before I moved out of Midlo, but this is still my favorite grocery store, hands down. If it wasnt so far away, I would shop here weekly. The amount of Asian and Mexican produce they have just makes me so happy! They have fruits and vegetables here, fresh, that you pretty much cannot find elsewhere, and the prices are great. Plus, they have a little "food court" with the best Korean jajangmyeon Ive had anywhere in Richmond. I always like to come here hungry, eat, and then do my shopping. They also have a really funny assortment of normal American grocery store goods. Overall, just a great place to shop for groceries!

This place is amazing! I dont know why I hadnt been sooner. The customer service is great. I was looking for mock duck (Asian mock meat) and the man wasnt sure, he went with me to ask another and they didnt understand either so I said thank you anyway and they apologized. Two minutes later one of them ran up to me, said he googled what it was and found it for me. Their tea and Asian noodle selection is awesome. I also got 6 dragon fruits for only 1 dollar. Their produce is great as is their vegetarian selection.

An Asian market with an emphasis on Korean food and products. They even have a Korean noodle shop inside. I was hoping to find some fresh and marinated meats here, but they dont seem to have that. They do sell a variety of Korean marinade bottles. They also have beef short ribs in both flanken and English style cuts. So you can get your "kalbi" that way. This is probably the biggest Asian market Ive been to in the Richmond area. I dont know if a bigger one around.

Its a really nice market and all, but I am now stuck with food that makes me sick every time I eat it. Even if my item is well within the 14 day rule of returning the item based on where it is in the store voids the 14 day policy. I got a refrigerated item and the return policy for that item is one day after it was sold. Sorry, that I felt sick and I could not return my item.

I enjoyed seeing all of the international brands of foods. The only drawback is (as a first-time shopper) trying to figure out the flow of the market. Evert aisle was labeled, but a bit narrow. The selections were immense! If you dont mind the smell of fresh fish, your experience will be well worth the trip. Produce from around the world also a plus!

Whoa...why arent all grocery stores this diverse. Incredible selection of produce from all over, I have never seen but only heard of some of the selections. Cuts of meat that I have been searching all over the place for and fresh fish, including live tilapia? Are you kidding me? What a joy, education and fun first shopping experience, I will return!

I absolutely love New Grand Mart for fruits and vegetables. Such a big selection that other stores just do not have. Their prices on their imported foreign foods are very reasonable to me. The bathrooms are always clean. I have not purchased meats here, but the selection is large and fairly priced. Ive never waited too long at check out.

I love this store for the product variety. Anything for Asian cooking you can find here. I had been looking for garam masala for the longest time and had to keep making my own. I was shocked when I found it in this store. Produce here is a bargain and I love that I can always buy my mangoes and avocados here for a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

Great selection of Asian and Latino foods. Tons of fresh vegetables and fruits. Rare ones like jackfruit, various oriental eggplants and lots of fresh herbs which are usually difficult to find. You can easily spend an hour each time you visit just discovering new things youve never heard of or seen.

The return policy is terrible here.You cant return rotten food ( fruits rot before they ripen) even with a receipt!The health department should check this market out especially the seafood area.A customer tripped and fell because the employee left a cart in an appropriate place.
