This IS a box store. Do It Best is one of the LARGEST retail hardware stores. Over 40,000 of them. Dont let the tiny store and high prices fool you. The "Family" that that owns the business may be local but a vast majority of their stock is IMPORTED FROM CHINA. Go ahead, next time you are in there getting gouged for a $1.99 key look at all the made in china labels.

Ive had enough of this place. I used to come here because it was more convenient than going to a warehouse. The people that work here seem inconvenienced every time you ask for help. The problem is, everything that costs more than $5 is locked up behind a case. Save yourself the headache and head to the Lakewood Ace Hardware.

Aside from the fact that everything in the store is exceptionally overpriced, at least compared with big box hardware stores; every time Ive gone in to Taylors the employees have treated me with borderline contempt. I suggest avoiding Taylors unless you absolutely cannot make the 15 minute trip out to Lowes or Home Depot.

Customer service from the African American gentleman with the long hair was the worst service Ive ever received. I dropped by to pick up a package in which he attempted to try and make me look stupid for coming too soon to pick up the package. Would never recommend coming here unless you know how to control your tempter

This place should work on their customer service because I came to get a key copied and was standing there for about 30 minutes while they were assisting other customers and did not get any sign of acknowledgment which I thought was completely Rude so I ended up just leaving which was a complete waste of my time

Ive been here on multiple occasions, always good customer service and very helpful with random questions. They offer a wide assortment of random commonly needed materials you would usually get from a Home Depot and similar stores minus Large appliances.

A lot of the employees have a bad attitude and treat me like Im an inconvenience. Also everything is ridiculously overpriced, unless you absolutely need an item immediately I would take the time to drive to Home Depot or Lowes.

I have purchased grills fireplaces hardware Stijhl power equipment and have always received great service. Everyone is helpful . Glad to have a Do It center on North Colley.

If you live in West Norfolk and dont feel like driving out to Lowes or Home Depot than this is where you end up. Good selection and most (not all) of the staff is helpful.

shopping at tayors on colley ave. is like picking something up from 7-11. its quick and easy. well worth the gas savings and time as compared to going to a super store.

Great shop to come grab basics and an affordable price. Staff is helpful when looking for a specific item, but the selection isnt as great as a larger hardware store.

It can be hit or miss for finding a specific tool or hardware. Good for the usual stuff though and the staff is generally very helpful.

I go here all the time. Nice nearby shop. They have a modest selection, and most of the staff is knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable.
