I just had the worst experience at Home Depot that I have ever had. The short version is that a 10 min trip took well over an hour. I picked up some electrical outlet covers and PVC elbows. Been in the store hundreds of times and I knew just where there were. I needed some wire cut and the time spent trying to get help, seeing employees standing in groups of 3 & 4 in three different places in the store involved in personal conversations, and finally getting the hardwire guy to help took at least 20 min. The hardware guy tried to help but did not have the code to move the reel stack, another 10 to 15 min until he finally went to the service desk and returned with the code. He knew nothing about wire and I had to explain everything. Finally moved to check out. One register open and two self service. The one open registers cashier was attempting to help a customer who was trying to use a coupon without success. Help was summoned, the assisting cashier attempted to scan the coupon several times with out success. This is the exact same thing done by the first cashier. The customer was told that the coupon was only good for one item and not good for the several like items she had on the counter. Another long conversation ensued. I was told that the Self Service Lady would help me. Turned to see the lady attempting to help a customer at the first open Self Service register and a man waiting for help at the other. Both of these people were at these registers when I first came to check out. I waited a min or two, then went to the service desk and left my items on the counter with instructions to the gentleman there to inform the manager that I was not a happy shopper and went to Lowes. I was in and out of Lowes in less than 10 min. Will I be back to Home Depot? Yes, but only for Items that I cannot find elsewhere.

Went to have my rigid tool set sent out on warranty. No one had any idea how to help. Guy behind the counter in the tool rental room was awful. He insisted that all he was going to do is call rigid and that we have to do it. Even though we told him we already called and they told us to come here. I asked how they send out tools and he said oh we usually throw stuff away if our tec cant fix it. He said that the tec cant fix what we brought. After spending over an hour arguing with the guy and calling rigid again, rigid called him and set him straight. He tried to claim to the rigid guy that we were not willing to pay the $18 fee and thats why he didnt help us. We go back in and he dosnt apologise and says oh yeah you were confused. He never even gave us the option to have him send the tools out. These people have no idea what they are doing. He purposely threw out the fee as a deterant and was mad when we pointed out that it gets refunded and that we were not worried about it.

I went to get some garden soil and plants at Home Depot at Chesapeake Square ,when during checkout the cashier who goes by the name of Sandy decides that shes having a bad day. She be littled me about what kind of garden soil. She said and I qoute"Everybody always seems to get mad when I ask them all these Damn questions" in front of my 3 year old. . I have bought garden soil (Miracle Gro) brand here for years, and they usually have it stored outside. But she told me it has always been down the mulch isle. I complained about the incident of profanity from a sales rep and the Operations Manager Mr. Bishop did adsolutely nothing. I was told she would be reprimanded, but within 5 mins after she stormed off from our discussion, she was back at the checkout in the garden area. Very unprofessional in my eyes and it seems the management doesnt care. I will spend my hard earned money with better customer service down the street.

Home Depot measures my kitchen, we pick out everything and then I m forgotten. Zeke from Home Depot hires a crew from North Carolina to replace the siding on my house which is in Virginia. Then Home Depot refuses to change the cover on my air con wire cover due to it not being a gutter. Even after being treated like poop. So I leave the country for 3 months. I come home to find someone trespassed went into my backyard and worked on my house. Home Depot has no clue. I reported to the Police. Zeke says I should prosecute but Home Depot has no clue who did the work!!!!!!! So my house took nearly year to put up new siding. The icing on the cake is......Home Dept terminated my credit card. My credit score is above 700

I have come to this Home depot many times and I drive out of my way just to visit this store. Because the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Chris in electric has helped me so much and has taught me alot about electrical outlets and wiring. He set me on tge right path with alot of projects someone without expeirence wouldnt dare to attempt. Blondie is also a very lovely lady, she is very enthisiastic aboit her job and can point anything out in the store and point you in the wright direction.

My husband and I are forever grateful for the services provided by Mr. Jack in our hour of need. Jack helped us re-key our broken deadbolt key, when all we had was the a broken key and the dead bolt mechnaism. He took all of about 5 minutes to re-key the bolt so we only had to use one key to open our front and side door. Thank you Jack, you saved us.

Probably wont be doing much shopping here. When asked why they do t do military discount on lumber and building material, the employee stated its because they are already at bottom price. Well I can assure you, check Lowes. Typically the price is the exact same and sometimes lower. But Lowes will do military discount on all of it. Check for yourselves!

Horrible service, pleases dont use their installation services. Its taking over 2 months to get my front door installed. Update: they told me the best they could do was place me on a cancellation list so if someone cancels they can place me in that spot, not return my money or anything else. They want me to wait another month...............

I brought paint and supplies to paint my man cave. The associate was very knowledgeable, and also juggled multiple customers at one time. Although there were several customers at the paint counter, I felt like I was the only one. Very satisfied with my visit!

Installation service never followed through Signed up in-store to have my garage door repaired, received both verbal and written assurances that I would be contacted "in about 24 hours" Its now starting week 2 with ZERO contact.

Equipment was broken. The technician decided to simply say it was broken and walk away. I followed and asked if there was anything he could do and he just said nope. Horrible customer service. Take your business elsewhere.
