I have to change my review on this place.Me and my Mother have been spending money and making donations in here for years to not only give back but to get little treasures.I never had any problems until a few weeks ago...This one lady that works there she maybe one of the managers has always went out of her way even when not asked to make deals and give a few bucks off. She was a total complicated b**tch on my last visit. I will never spend another dime of my hard earned money at this establishment. There was this Japanese samurai doll in this huge display box (complicated to explain will post pix) with the the whole Japanese theme going it was priced at $150.00.However there where some issues the wood was separated from the glass on top. There where several dark stains all inside the display box plus the wood was dry rotted in the back.This b**tch not only acted as if I was a total stranger shes never seen in her life. Without checking she said her boss was pretty clear on the price remaining at $150.00?? I was a bit puzzled because taking 5.00 or 10.00 bucks off wasnt going to kill her especially since shes done it before.I was told by one of the guys that helped me with all of my stuff including this item to speak with the manager on Monday (The manager was this new a chick who walked right pass me) and she would probably give me a $10.00 credit?? I had never seen the guy helping me before but he said he was familiar with me and my visits as well as my mom. I hope that $150.00 was worth it thats nothing for me to spend on visits but that will be the very last time at this location there are too many other establishments around Hampton roads that will gladly be reasonable with damaged second hand items

* DO NOT SHOP HERE!.....THE WORST! B&G CLUB THRIFT STORE, ON WARWICK BLVD, HAS BECOME ONE OF THE HIGHEST PRICED THRIFT STORE IN THE AREA!!........GREEDY, GREEDY, GREEDY! ONCE REASONABLE PRICED ITEMS ARE NOW JUST RIDICULOUS AND JUST MADE TO GOUGE CUSTOMERS!......VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HOW "GREEDY" THIS THRIFT STORE HAS BECOME.....SHAMEFUL BECAUSE THE ITEMS ARE "DONATED" - FREE!....YET, OVERCHARGING AND GOUGING CUSTOMERS IS NO WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!

It was 5:10 pm I went there. Their website states open to 6:30 pm. The rude clerk points to a hand written sign saying 5 is when we close and she dtatws everybody is saying site says otherwise. They need to learn time and stop making up new times and being so rude about it. I have been going there and donating there since it opened well no more since they are rude and make their own rules

This will be my last time shopping here! My experience today was by far the worst Ive ever received from a thrift store, I always donate clothes to this location and occasionally shop here . I will not come back and will strongly advise other to donate to another location or to the CHKD.

The Google website was wrong on the store hours. Hopefully it has now been corrected. The correct website is Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula thrift store hours. We are sorry for the inconvenience and hope Google will correct this soon.

Friendly and helpful. They tend to have a nice range of stuff. I moved to the area as a single mom with nothing and they really helped me. I will continue to donate happily there.

Staff are usually friendly. I still donate to help the Boys and Girls Club but rarely shop there anymore. The prices are too high.
