Today at Wegmans, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was an oyster event taking place on the patio from the hours of 5:30pm - 8:30pm. I looked at my watch to see the time and it was 5:28pm. The timing was perfect so my boyfriend, cousin, and I decided to stop buy and order a plate of oysters before purchasing our groceries. We walked out onto the patio and were handed a menu before being told to take a seat. After looking over the menu we waited patiently for 20 minutes to see if anyone was coming to ask for our order. I was unsure whether or not we were supposed to order the food ourselves at the oyster station or if a waitress would be coming by our table. I explained my confusion to one of the employees and he politely told me that a waitress would stop by at any minute. At this point, most of the tables began filling in around us. We waited another 10 minutes for our waitress to take our order - it has been 30 minutes since we entered the patio and still no one has come... Finally we saw the waitress coming towards our direction, but much to our dismay she took the order from the table in front of us. They only waited for 10 minutes before having their order taken. Another table across from us who only waited 15 minutes also had their order taken before anyone had come to where we were seated. My cousin very politely walked towards the waitress at the oyster counter and explained that we still had not been helped despite having waited for service the longest. The waitress apologized and assured us that she would be there at any second. 10 more minutes..... My cousin got up once more and politely again explained to a different employee that we had been waiting 40 minutes now just to have our order taken. Instead of taking our order, the lady passed the issue along to someone else and told my cousin the same thing we had been hearing for the past 40 minutes - your waiter will be with you shortly. We waited another 10 minutes... I drew the line and got up once I saw the tables around us getting their food, and we still had not yet had our order taken. Please take these criticisms into consideration when planning for your next event. Thanks!

Ok, after the hoopla over Wegman’s Midlothian opening and the crowds subsided I decided to check out latest Wegman’s store in our area. I figured all the bugs would be worked out since they opened May 22 and we are in mid-August now. Let me state that we now have four main grocery stores in a 2.3 mile stretch. Kroger, Martins, and Super Walmart and now this Wegman’s. I have my choice depending on product availability, cleanliness and most importantly customer service. It is that customer service that completely turned me off during my initial and last visit to Wegman’s. Waiting at the deli to be served, holding a number, I was completely and utterly ignored, like I was invisible. It was weird. That is until another woman came by, grabbed and number and she was immediately served. She must have had the “look” is all I can figure. When I heard the number they called and she approached I had to say that my number was before hers and that I’ve been standing there for a while and not called. There was no apology, no ‘how are you mam sorry to the wait’. I mentioned that I was waiting there for a few minutes and no one would assist, no response. I got my deli meat, not a thank you, sorry for the wait, hope to see you soon again. There are too many options closer to my house to have to deal with this, I dumped my cart into a cooler and walked out, not planning on returning. Martin’s, even the construction laden Kroger at Ivymont has better customer service.

I have shopped at Wegmans in the DMV area and this one just as good. All Wegmans have the same basic layout plan with locations in MD, VA looking cleaner,modern stone,stream lined on the outside vs NY area. The selection can not be beat. This is Target vs Walmart and I am a Target shopper. Prices are very reasonable and they also offer deli items you can not get anywhere else. Such as Lobster Mac & Cheese, Stuffed Crab or Lobster Mushrooms, pre packaged Lobster dinners etc.Their cake is always fresh and they have many specialty deserts.If you love Food Lion then you probably will not like Wegmans. However if you like quality as I do, good meats,fresh veggies, a large array of items to choose from then Wegmans is for you. The store is huge which can be a plus or minus. It has to be huige to offer the amount of items but if youre tired and just need one item, a customer may just run to Kroger.I work closer to Midlothian location but live closer to Short Pump and have been to both.Short Pump location has fresher pre packaged meals and a little larger store.Midlo store did not even have pre packaged pasta meals which I regularly get at Short Pump/

I was excited to go when they first open but I have heard so many people went that you couldnt even walk through the isles. A few weeks later when we went we enjoyed it. It was definitely a new experience! From the grocery cart to the way that they will be putting together a meal Wegmans is really bringing a new experience to Richmond. We did have a problem each time we ask employee for help because employees did not know where certain items were in the store that were as basic as sugar & sodas. But after applying to the store myself they have very good training and benefits for their employees. go check them out! And then as I pulled out I saw that they have a bar. It actually serves alcohol. Now dad can have a beer while mom is getting the groceries or vice versa.

I like this place, it seems to be very crowded most of the time tho which i cant stand. This Wegmans is huge. The food/cafe/eatery/ salad bar is good, the sushi bar is wonderful. The pizzeria has really good food as well and the pies are huge. This supermarket is a great addition to the community. They regularly mail out coupons so be sure to sign up for the store savings card. The parking lot is on the small side, maybe they werent anticipating the large amount of shoppers during the buolding/ planning phase, so it does take a while to find a spot, especially during peak times but...Take your time, park the car and give this place a visit.. You will see why so many people shop here.

To day is the second time I went to Wegmans in Midlothian Virginia, I totally love the story... To day I specifically went to get a sub sandwich... I went through the line and told them the toppings, told them the meat, told them the cheese... they asked what else, I said Oil, Vinegar, salt, pepper and oregano.... At this point the Large sub is made and they tell me, they are out of those items.... I said this is a grocery store, you must have them in the store, the told me they were out like I had three heads... I said , I do not want it with out... and walked away..... No one had enough forward thinking to get what they needed from the store shelves....
