I looked into Cricket because for $55 a month unlimited talk, text, and data it was better than anything the major carriers such as ATT, Verizon, and Sprint were offering. Also, the ZTE X500 android phone was on sale for only $50, compared to the $200 Androids and iPhones available at other wireless dealers. In my experience, the short term gain is not worth the long-term hassle of dealing with Cricket, whose customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced. I bought my phone from a Cricket dealer, happily walked away, and within 4 minutes the phones screen froze. I could only unfreeze the screen by removing the battery. This is par for the course with the ZTE X500. It freezes once every few days and drops calls all the time. Any time your ear hits the screen, it dials a number and drops the call youre currently on. On the plus side, Ive never had any problem with its wireless internet and data capabilities and its very easy to use. In regards to the Falls Church corporate store specifically, customer service is a nightmare. The Falls Church store does not answer its phones no matter what time you call. It will not call you back if you leave a message. If you go to the store, you will wait in line for at least a half an hour during normal work hours, and probably longer after work. If you have trouble with the corporate store, you will find no redress by calling the national number. It is difficult to figure out how to react a customer service representative on the national number, and once you do they will be unable to help you. Overall, I would recommend staying with the national carriers. They might be a bit pricier, but their customer service is far superior if you have a problem.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HASSLE AND DO NOT GO WITH CRICKET WIRELESS. On June 3, 2016 service suddenly went dead and stayed down for 15 hours. Totally unacceptable. Also not a peep out of Cricket wireless in the way of an explanation. I have never had an outage with any other carrier. Going back to Verizon as the savings of $15 a month is NOT worth the hassle of dealing with an irresponsible and poorly run company like cricket that doesnt care about the customer.
