Ill drive from the middle of nowhere to have their fresh, warm delicious clouds of heaven. When moving here 5 yrs ago that was something missing. Id gone to most of the places that the locals said were fantastic and they ALWAYS left a bad taste. I wanted the light, fluffy, yeasty donuts, not the dried out cake (rock) kind even with the glazed..ugg! Then I stumbled on the FRESH DONUT. I waited in line, which allowed me to view the case -Im very difficult when there are too many choices. I didnt want the people behind me hating me ..trust me, I really hate those people..:) I ordered my standard, 6 glazed, two chocolate glazed, plain and then cream filled. Glazed are my favorite and since I couldnt wait when I got in the car I had to try one, then another. I found my fluffy, warm, oh so still warm glazed donuts. I went back the next day and the experience was just a wonderful. If you are ever feeling the need for something warm and delicious take the time to go to Fresh Donut. You WONT be disappointed.

Awesome donuts. Counter service was AWFUL. I love donuts. Seriously, they make me giddy. Donut day & a Friday? Best. Day. Ever. Overcharged for a glazed cinnamon roll. Tasty though. The service interaction was strained and rude. I walked in smiling, happy (just got a huge check, worked out and now donuts?!) Walked out shaking my head. Hopefully, someone that hates working with customers this much will find a better fit to their temperament. As it is now, youve got to arrive early for good selection and a super unpleasant, openly hostile counter server for SLCs best donuts.

My family and I have been buying donuts from this amazing family since we moved here to Utah in 2005! Originally from Southern California, we could not find anything close to the types of donuts they sell down there until we found Donuts and Deli! Not only are the donuts the best tasting in the state but the service is exceptional! The only sad thing is for 12 years we have been asking them to open a location on the west side and they dont plan on doing it....but we keep asking! Haha!

Went around 4 PM with a reunion group today because the place came highly reconvened and they were closed, even though their hours say they were open until 5. Highly disappointed and we werent the only ones. While trying to figure out where else to go, a few other cars pulled up and tried the doors as well only to get turned away like we did. No sign posted as to the reason for the early closure. Probably wont come back here again if this is how they run their business.

I have no idea how we stumbled upon this place but it has become a family favorite when we want donuts. The prices are good, the donuts are great. For best results go before 9am or after 10am. Ive learned that they tend to run low on selection after 9 until their next run of donuts which seems to be laid out somewhere around 10. I have not tried going much in the afternoon except once around 4:30 and they were again very low on selection shortly before closing time.

I sooooo miss the doughnut shops in California, it isnt hard to find one out there. But I figured if someone knew what a good shop was in Redwood City, and they liked this shop, I would give it a try. If you are dying for the old fashioned experience of visiting a small doughnut shop, sipping coffee while reading the newspaper, this is probably as close as you are going to get in these parts. The donuts are delicious - esp. the plain cake - perfect for dunking!

During busy season, our boss springs for donuts every Friday. Whenever its my turn to bring them, I go here. Every time I do I have people dropping by my desk asking where I got them (apparently they cant look at the box lid). These donuts are amazing. I seriously have people going out of their way to drop by my desk and thank me because its such a high quality breath of fresh air compared to the grocery store bakeries. Go here! You wont be sorry.

OMG, if you never stopped here, your truly missing out! Every morning they make all their donuts and pastries fresh, yummy. They are fast, nice, prices are fair. The only thing I can say is they only have a few tables to sit and they usually have crumbs on them, they dont have a public restroom. But other then that this is the only place I will eat a donut at. I usually dont like donuts at all, but I would recommend this place to anyone.

I am a donut snob. I admit it. The best old fashioned donuts in the world (IMHO) is Chucks Donuts in Redwood City, CA. But alas, its a little out of the way now that I live in Utah. The second best Ive had anywhere is right here in SLC and Fresh Donuts & Deli on State Street. All their donuts are good, but the chocolate old fashioned is worth the trip from anywhere in the valley! -hap

I live in west valley amd whenever Im in the mood for a donut this place is my go-to. Best donuts Ive ever had, incredibly soft and chewy, freshly made in the back, you can smell them once you park next to the building. Only problem is that they could slow down and be a little more patient with customers, not that big of an issue.definitely recommend this munch post

Donuts are amazing - always fresh and delicious. Their donuts are the PERFECT mix of slightly crispy on the outside and really chewy on the inside. Icing isnt too sweet or heavy - glazing on their jelly donuts is delightful. Filled donuts have just the right ratio of filling too. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Well worth the occasional wait and line.

This is quite possibly the best doughnut shop in Salt Lake City. It is a little mom and pop shop that sells freshly baked doughnuts. I went there at 5am right when it opened, and as I stepped out of the car the entire parking lot smelled of fresh doughnuts! Amazing! Go here and buy at least a dozen!

This little shop has the BEST melt in your mouth chocolate glazed donuts. IMO, they beat Banbury Cross donuts hands down. The staff is very friendly and eager to help, even with a lobby packed with people. They’ve definitely earned my repeat business and any advertising I can do for them!

I ordered 2 dozen donuts short notice because this was the only place that was able to help and THOSE DONUTS WERE DELICIOUS!!! Best donuts in the valley in my opinion, and GREAT customer service. They even gave me 2 free donuts as a bonus. I will always go here. Those donuts were amazing!

Im not overselling this: these are the best donuts in the state. Maybe the world. Donuts as we understand them are kind of a US-Canadian thing, but having travelled far and wide, this awesome family from Cambodia makes the absolute best donut I have ever eaten. Try one for yourself.

This place is absolutely amazing. Best donuts EVER!!!! My father in law stumbled upon this place driving around on state street and we are so glad he did. We live a few blocks away and Im not sure if we ever wouldve stopped in if it werent for him. Try this place NOW!
