Ordered food, donut and coffee. Coffee was wrong (ordered iced blended coffee and it came out hot coffee) and they charged me to make the right coffee, when received the iced coffee it was only 3/4 full. The french dip was okay, however the au jus sauce was very thick. I had a combo and my side was soup I got the potato bacon which was obviously previously frozen and separated. The only thing here that was surprisingly good was the onion rings and fry sauce. My son had the donut. The fountain drink was in a styrofoam cup, too large to fit in any cup holder. Trashes were all full. Kept being handed food that wasnt ours. Disappointed all around. My husband wanted me to tell the manager but it was obvious no one there cared considering we dealt with a different person each interaction and every time there was something terribly wrong.

My fiancee and I went in to get donuts and we waited over 15 minutes in an empty shop and receiving no service even by the employee sitting up and the front doing interviews (she completely ignored our existence by the way). The entire donut case was empty and the place looked like it was closing down or something, very empty (literally not a single baked good in the case or anything). We were told donuts are becoming popular and theyre sold out.... Youre a donut company make more. If youre completely out of product for the day by 10:30 am you have serious issues within your business! Ive been to madbrooks before but I dont think I will be going again. It was a shock that a donut company literally cant make donuts. Definitely not going to recommend

Thanks again for screwing up ANOTHER order. Last time I went my coffee was AWFUL. I asked for a decaf and got reg espresso and it was cold and way over flavored. I chalked it up to a bad day. Husband and I went today and got 2 WRONG coffees one of which was luke warm and 2 luke warm sandwiches. I asked for a DECAF vanilla latte and received, a CAPPUCINO that used reg espresso which didnt even come to half way full. My husband ordered a breve and received a caffe au lait. Very disappointed that I had to pay 17$ for this awful experience. Will definitely be sticking to Grounds for Coffee or Daily Rise from now on.

Sadly, this place has gone way down hill. Their donuts are now frozen and not fresh every morning because their bakery is now located in another city not central to any of their locations. Their management has plummeted in its operations and cant even keep employees. Any good manager knows that if they treat their staff good their profits will follow. If they are choosing to fire their employees they should really look into theirselves to see where the issue really lies. I would love to give this place my business since it is one of the last little shops of its kind, but the management just doesnt deserve it.

Update: So they have increased their prices twice in two years, which shrinking the size of their donuts. I didnt mind so much because a $1/donuts seems about right. They have increased it again just recently, and, although I love their donuts, they arent the only ones in town. Both Krispy Kreme (not the same donut - I know) and Tastys are $1 for regular donuts and $1.25 - $1.50 for specialty. And on top of that, they have moved to a Darigold-type chocolate milk which is not as good. In any case, Ill still go, just not as often and likely wont get the drink.

Having been a donut connoisseur for several decades now, I can easily say that Mad Brook is only rivaled by the once great Salt Lake Donut Company. Their blueberry donuts are a particular delight, and their oversized fritters make the perfect item to share among co-workers and family. Their prices are quite reasonable and their service is fantastic. Dont stop at the pastries only, they make excellent hot and cold sandwiches. They have a casual and relatively quiet atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing lunch - they even have a couch in front of a large screen TV!

Third time was not a charm... we are from out of town, have visited 2 previous times. The quality of the donuts and sandwiches both previous times had been good. This trip however, something went wrong. The servers were not organized, what I thought was a light crowd, maybe 4 other folks. It took over 20 minutes to fill my order, which consisted of 6 donuts and 1 egg bagel sandwich! About 10 minutes into my wait, the young lady said, we dont have bagels today... so I switched to the croissant sandwich... I will chalk it up to a bad day...

I found out about Madbrook a while back when I was working all around Davis County and had always loved it. The other day when my wife wanted a good sandwich and we went to Quiznoes and their ovens were broken I suggested we go to Madbrook. My wife was skeptical at first but when we got there and got our food she loved it! We got there just before closing as well and the girls that were working were still happy to help. Great food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices and much better than competitor sandwich chains!

The place was fairly empty yet for some reason we waited 27 minuets for a sandwich and a bowl of soup. I tried to be empathetic, I worked in fast food the entire time I was in high school. When the food finally came out, the staff handed us the bags and mumbled "sorry". My order wasnt even correct and it didnt seem like they really cared. I ended up getting a refund because I did not want to wait another 27 minutes for them to remake my sandwich correctly. Im really disappointed.

I wish I could rate this a 0. If you like the taste of stale bread, then this is the right donut shop for you. I live in Layton and told my little boy we could get donuts today. He was excited of course. We got the donuts home and he couldnt even bite them because of how stale and dry they are. We normally go to Donuts and Deli in SLC. Layton to SLC is a long drive, but its completely worth it. If you think Madbrook Donuts is a good donut, you havent ever had a good donut.

Good donuts for sure but dont ever come here if your in any kind of rush. I brought my kids in for a quick donut one morning before school and waited for at least 20 minutes in line. They had 20 cars at the drivethrough and 20 more in the store. Take it from a guy who also owns and runs a business,,,, hire more people! Hire them now! And have at least 5 workers staffed in the busy times. The average wait time for a donut should be 5 minutes or less.

Last time I was here I got the French Dipper. Its heaven in a sandwich. Their mango smoothies are made with the ripest mangos known to mankind. Their donuts are fluffier and softer than any other donut I have put in my mouth. The staff is great, relatively quick service, clean bathrooms. Youre having a bad day and youre hangry? Grab yourself some chai tea and a dozen donuts and turn that frown upside down. 5/5 Recommends
