Got a tattoo from Shae, a simple ring tattoo on my wedding finger. I wanted a simple 1/2" wide solid ring around my finger. Differing to Shaes professional advice I instead went with a different design that only goes half way around my finger. He mentioned going all the way around would just cause for the ring to fade on the inside of my hand, even though I said that didnt bother me and wouldnt expect him to touch it up later on. He said if I went with his suggestions and didnt like it I could get it touched up. I called Shae after a month or two, I wasnt happy with his design suggestions, and asked to get it touched up. He scheduled me for a couple weeks out, rescheduled me the day I was originally scheduled, then rescheduled me again. (Rescheduled twice) Showed up (tonight 1/19/2016) for my twice rescheduled appointment (in his defense he was sick the 2nd time) at 7:25PM (appointment was at 7:30PM) Shae asked if I could wait for a few minutes while he wrapped up with another client. Still waiting 35 minutes later, I walked out because I dont appreciate my time being wasted. Shae called me about 5 minutes after I left and asked what was up. I told him I didnt appreciate my time being wasted, especially after being rescheduled twice. He argued "thats how the tattoo industry is, man. If you cant wait 30 minutes..." This is a poor argument, especially for an establishment that is new in business. Heres some unsolicited advice: If it takes 30 minutes to clean/set up for your next appointment, try scheduling your next appointment 20-30 minutes after your last. Suffusive to say I wont be going back or recommending Shae to anyone I know. Id rather pay someone who values there clients time for a touch-up than get a no cost touch-up tattoo from someone whose only argument is "thats the way the tattoo industry is, man."

The space is nice, clean and stylish. Most of the artists and the receptionist seemed nice. However.... Zach Sandall was a complete ass-hat. He owed me time for some work I did for him awhile back, when it came down to paying back the time he owed he was impatient, pretentious and not willing to work with my husband at all. I would not recommend him to anyone. His work is okay quality if you want the run-of-the-mill basic work done that everyone else has, but he is not easy to work with and definitely not friendly, especially if you are new into tattoos. We would have been a very high-paying customer, wanting to do a full sleeve as well as some back work, but because of his lack of customer service skills he completely turned us off of not just his work but the whole shop. We will be finding someone else who actually wants our business.

Not impressed. I wanted to have different artwork on me vs using my same guy and my artist I wont mention his name just quickly threw it on. A tattoo that should of took a few hours took him 30 m. Not to mention it took 1 hour to even get going as he didnt even start the design I booked a month in advanced. The tattoo sucks I have to go to my usual guy to get touch up done and defined more. Piss poor tattoo with piss poor attention to detail. Not impressed and I warn you about going here if you want quality work done. I have tons of tattoos done and this one is a large one that I hate so much but nothing I can do about it. The dude doesnt even care about you or what you want. He didnt listen to my very specific requirements. Be warned.

Ive been tattooed by about 10 different artists and I can easily say that my favorite tattoos and tattooers are all from Tiger Claw. Ive been tattooed by Shae, Ryan and Zach - three professional nice guys and artists. My wife and adult kids have been tattooed at Tiger Claw and my brother has driven up several times from SoCal for tattoos. If you want amazing tattoos and a great experience, go to Tiger Claw. PS The bad review that Shae has here on Google is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever read. He is absolutely professional, very talented and one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. If he wasnt, I wouldnt have been tattooed by him five times with plans for more.

I have been getting tattooed by Charity and Ryan at Tiger Claw for a while now and can say hands down, they are the best shop in the Salt Lake Valley. They have the cleanest most chill shop, the artists are like family, and the environment is clean and welcoming. They handle all styles in amazing fashion, and Can not recommend them enough. Their dedication to getting it right, and making it look good is second to none. Its not on common to be getting tattooed by one of the artists and have the other artists come to look and talk. Love this shop. So clean and open! The space is used wisely! All of my work is done here and so is most of my boyfriends. We have went into a few shops before just to see what other shops are like, almost all of them were closed off so you couldnt see any artist, over priced for the quality and cleanliness of the shop, and overall just dark and dingy! Easy to work with good pricing for the quality work you get! Every artist is amazing and will always be honest with you! Overall the best shop in SLC in my opinion! 10/10 would recommend!

Ryan Johnson rocks !! I have been getting ink from Ryan for years and always get compliments on my tattoos. the other artist are all super cool and do awesome work too. The shop is clean the tunes are good and they are all easy to work with, the art work is always excellent !! FYI from what I can tell they get s lot of repeat customers and that should be evidence enough. p.s. If youre not getting inked by these guys youre missing out.

I got my first tattoo ever here by Ryan. He is so good now that hes booked all the time but my heart is set on him doing my 3rd tattoo touch up and fixing the mistakes that happened when I got it from True Culture Tattoo. Ive been to many different tattoo places in utah now, Ive gotten a few from those other places and none have been as awesome, accomdating, comfortable and understanding like Tiger Claw Staff has been.

Booking at Tiger Claw was easy & the experience was incredible. Way better than where I got my last tattoo. I can recommend Zach and Charity completely. They are honest, clear, kind, and the work is beautiful. Im sure anyone who works there is awesome. I love the cleanliness and safety of the shop. A really professional outfit.
