I only have experience with 2 of the employees here, so really I can only review them. Samantha, who seems to run the front desk, schedule, and general customer service, was extremely nice. This was perhaps the most friendly reception Ive ever received at a tattoo shop. She made me feel that she actually cared about MY tattoo; she remembered me every time I called and remembered the tattoo I wanted. She was very clear about what was expected from me, as well as what I could expect from the artist (pricing, placement, schedule, etc.). Justin did my tattoo, and really, I could not be happier with it. He listened to everything I said, and made it look exactly how I wanted. He did an amazing job. He added much more detail than I thought was possible, and really just listened to how I wanted it to look, and went from there. I would definitely get another tattoo from Justin. The pricing was VERY reasonable. Great tattoo at a great price.

I got my belly button pierced and right when I walked in there was someone to greet me and help me with any questions I had. The lady at the front desk helped get all of the papers I needed due to being under 18. After I filled everything out she pointed me in the right direct and the guy that pierced me was very patient and did an amazing job of lining everything up and making sure it was perfect. He asked for my opinion on it and make sure it was also up to my standards. He explained everything that was going to happen and used sterile needles, jewelry, and gloves. He did a fantastic job of piercing and explaining how to care for it. I would definitely recommend to my friends. I cant wait to go back and get more work done by them.

Overall, he did a great job. Jamie was my artist, and his work is pretty sick. However, it started a bit bumpy because, after agreeing to do a tree, he complained about it for a good 30 minutes. Apparently is was his 61st tree of the month. Fine, but dont agree to do it. After two sessions, it looked amazing and even he said it was a pretty cool tree. Sure he brought his gun into work every day, but once you got around the rough edges his work is pretty damn good. A few flaws in the tattoo, but nothing that anyone else would notice. Ive already recommended him to several people.

I have 6 tattoos, 3 of them done at urban art. I love this shop. Ive had Otis/Trojan tattoo me 2x and Sam once. Otis is at the Tempe location and Sam is at the one on main in Mesa. Both very cool guys. Ive recommended my friends to these shops. Each artist has their own style. The pricing is great especially on big pieces of work you want done. Ive been to 2 other shops in the valley for 2 of my tattoos (club tattoo & lady luck) and Ill say I theyre good but i prefer urban art. So check it out and see if you like it. You may not but this is just my opinion and rating.

Terror Threat

Horrible customer service, I was not acknowledged when I walked in the Door. It wasnt even til after I stood in front of the customer service counter for a bit that the employees finally took their eyes off of the movie that was playing on the computer and finally asked what they could help us with. Employees seemed very judgmental and laughed when I tipped $15 for a $100 dollar tattoo. Tattoo artist was awesome great work and very friendly person other than that very horrible service would not recommend simply because of the customer service.

STAY AWAY FROM NEIL!!! He did a horrible tattoo on my shoulder, as my first tattoo, over charged me, then wanted to blame me for his screw up and charge me to touch it again. The owner Jacob seemed to want to genuinely make it right but I had to opt for removal and am going to try somewhere else. Neil has no pride in his work if its not his personal drawing and a bad attitude to back it up. Maybe another artist would do better work there but for me its not worth the risk.

There was an impulsive purchase bought for a $150 gift card for xmas that we had attempted to returned and they refused to refund out money. With the economy being the way it is the money would have been extremely helpful with xmas this year. But unfortuantly their selfish policy kept us from having a good xmas. We would have even lowered the amount for the card but were unable to. Horrible customer service and i wouldnt recommend anyone to go here because of that.

I just got my tattoo finished (by James), and I could not be happier. It was a cover up job, and James simply turned something that was ugly into an amazing piece of art. I liked it so much, that I am planing the second one already. The shop is clear and nice and everyone is really nice and professional there, so do not feel intimidated to go in (specially Samantha who takes care of all the customers at the front desk and she is very very nice). Thank guys!!

Tattoo artist was good, and did a great job. It just seemed really... impersonal. Like he just wanted to get my money and get me out of there. Every other tattoo Ive gotten at other places, everyone in the tattoo shop was super nice and actually talked to me, made me feel like my business was appreciated and wanted. I dunno, this place is nice and clean and the price was right, I just like being made feel welcome, like my business is wanted.

I got my first tattoo from here about a week ago and my artist was absolutely amazing. I I i I had Anthony do my tattoo with a Sakura going from my hip up my ribs, he made it beautiful and fit my body perfectly. He was patient with me and helped me be very comfortable while he did my tattoo, I recommend this place to anyone.

Got a tattoo from Juan. He did a cover up for me a couple years ago and it still looks flawless. Every other tattoo shop said they couldnt cover up an old tat of mine, but he did it and did AWESOME. I went back and have had a couple more tattoos done by him and they still look great two years later as well.

Just got matching tattoos with my sister today by Vinnie. This is my third tattoo by vinnie and he is amazing. The first time I met Vinnie I was 18 and getting my first tattoo. He instantly makes you feel welcome and very comfortable. I am in love with all of my tattoos and I highly recommend him!

My first tattoo was done by otis My sons name I recommend he does wonder cursive :) &&he also did my sick hand tattoo .also got a tattoo done by Anthony was a realistic rose on my right hand looks wonderful I love all my tattoos && again recommend going here for the best tattoos <3

They are awesome. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The artist I worked with gave me advice on what would look best and did an amazing job. The shop was very clean and it was a wonderful experience.
