I normally dont give negative reviews, I feel the negative karma is just something I dont want to deal with. However this is not a rule, and for good reason. Sometimes you are doing the greater good by pointing a better way to others. So here it is - DONT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Period. I recently received an offer from Yamaha for a free pair of sunglasses if I would take one of their bikes for a test drive. Great. So I went out of my way on my Stratoliner to visit this place. Upon arrival I stood around in their show room for about ten minutes until some guy dressed like he works across the street at Deseret Industries walks up and asks what he can help me with. I told him I would like to take one of the bikes for a test drive (I was quite specific regarding the bike). He took one look at my rebate program certificate and told me he would honor the $300 rebate. So far so good. How about a test drive? Nope. We dont do test drives. So I asked how he sold any bikes without doing test drives and he got all defensive and said they sell hundreds (which I doubt) without ever doing a test drive. He went on to elaborate that his customers already know what they want when they come in the store. Interesting, I though to myself, because I never would have bought that $15,000 Stratoliner I drove up on without a test drive, but then I didnt buy it HERE, which probably explains a thing or two. At this point I realized the conversation was going nowhere, but still being very agitated I thanked him for wasting an hour of my time and headed toward the door. Now here is the really good part. He asked me how I figured one hour! In prehistoric times this is when the mans life would ended. Instead, my blood pressure shot up, my face flushed, and all I could think to say (suppressing all of my homicidal tendencies) was, "Now you want to argue with me about how much of my time you have just wasted!" Apparently he was considering only the time in his stinky little showroom and my travel time counted for nothing, not to mention that implicit in his question was the admission that he had indeed wasted my time. I really dont know how these guys stay in business, or why anyone would ever do business with them. If it was up to me they would be working at Deseret Industries across the street (although Im pretty sure those good people wouldnt want them). They are not worth your time. They are not worth your business. They certainly are not worth the monetary support you will provide by buying from them and I would all but guarantee that you will regret every follow up visit you will ever make. Stay away. Stay very far away.

I went to Escape, needing to get my fork seals replaced on my CBR600. This is a job I usually would do myself but I dont have my tools with me in Utah. They said theyre booked 2 weeks out, which was fine with me since it is spring and to be expected. However, I kindly explained to them that I NEEDED my bike the by the day after it was scheduled to be serviced. They said that is absolutely no problem since its a 2 labor-hour job. They then looked up the seals I needed, and said theyd order them that day. 1.5 weeks later (3 days before my appointment), I showed up to drop off my friends bike, and figured Id ask if my seals had come in yet. Surprise!! they hadnt even been ordered yet! If I hadnt asked, they wouldnt have ordered the seals. I was then assured that the seals would be there for my appointment. 3 days later, I showed up for my appointment and asked if the seals were there to make sure they were actually going to work on it when I dropped it off. THEY DIDNT EVEN ORDER THE SEALS THE SECOND TIME I HAD GONE IN. WTF. I then left, bought some at another shop, went back and shoved the seals in the guys face and said "PUT THEM ON." Then they ended up TRYING to charge me for 3 hours labor when they quoted me 2 hours, and 2 hours is what every other shop also quoted me. I called BS, paid them for 2, and took my bike. NEVER going back again, no matter how small the job since apparently they cant handle anything. NOTE: I work in customer service as well, am a very laid back, understanding person who pretty much only leaves moderate to positive reviews, but this was an exception. Dont go there unless you get stranded on State Street in front of their shop.

Ive had pleasant-enough experiences at Escape, and a couple that were pretty good. My "pretty good" experiences fell under the guys at Escape happily coming out to have a look at my bike and help me know what to do to fix things. My speedometer cable fell out, he ordered the part for me, called me when it was in, charged me wholesale (like $17?) and taught me how to put it in myself. Took me about an hour. Im sorry to say I dont know his name, but the fellow with a couple fingers missing has been my main contact that Ive liked. My pleasant-enough experience was getting a tune-up. I didnt love the final cost compared to what I got, and didnt love some somewhat contradictory things I was told about the fixes (after they were done tuning it up and making sure everything worked, I picked it up...only to have it not start. Which was the main problem I reported. So they took it back in and didnt charge for labor but replaced the battery...which is also sorta what I said would probably need to be done in the first place. They said it was the wrong battery type entirely. Why this was missed during a tune-up...thats my concern. They apparently did the tune-up while it was still warm, and it started OK....?). However, it only took a couple days, and they were pretty good about calling me with anything that would need to happen. In my experience, this is very typical of mechanics (suspect "fixes," and the like).

Terrible customer service. Horrid service center. Over the past two years I have used this dealership periodically for repairs. My motorcycle is a Yamaha and they are a Yamaha dealer. They are over priced for repairs and charge $86 dollars just to diagnose the problem. They even charged me $86 diagnostic when I mentioned that the speedometer cable was clearly bad and needed it replaced. They then repaired my motorcycle. 6 months later the speedometer goes out again and so I take it to a different dealer and they inform me Escape Motorsports put the wrong part on my motorcycle. It wasnt even suppose to fit my motorcycle to begin with. Management was kind enough to recognize they were wrong and refunded my money for the part and labor. Upon leaving I verified the return slip and notice that they only refunded me $39.15 for a part that cost $39.99. The fact that they then stiffed me a full refund on a part they installed incorrectly is just plain bad ethics. On a separate occasion took a tire to get replaced. A week later no call to tell me to come get it. Called to see if it was done and they claimed the tire needed a new inner tube. I asked why because when I brought it in the tire was fully inflated and had been for the past year+. They then tried telling me a free tire install would now cost me $30. Every time I have taken my motorcycle in, I have never had a good experience.
