Buyer beware! I am a long term customer of Cash America, and for over ten years I have bought everything from electronics to video games to decorative swords. In May of this year I went in to buy a telescope that the assistant manager had promised to save in the back for me and gave me a very good price. When I went to buy the telescope the manager Jeff was there and he got enraged when he found out what the assistant manager had done. He stomped in the back several times to check on something with the telescope, then finally agreed to sell me the telescope for the price that the assistant manager had agreed on. I had taken my daughter in the back the week before and showed her the telescope. At that time it had two lenses and a tuner taped to it in a bag. I was very excited specifically because of the tuner. When I bought the telescope I had to sit across the counter while the mamager fumed and raged about what his assistant manager had done. He never went over the receipt with me and after I paid for it he ran in the back and came out very fast and demanded to know where my van was. I had my son help load the telescope and when he came back in the store he said that the bag wasnt there. I mentioned it to the manager and he insisted that this was all that as in the back room. He was so angry he was shaking like a bee so I decided it was best to leave the store and give him time to call down. When I got home I inspected the telescope and there was no bag, no lenses, no tuner, even the eyepiece was missing and the manager had stripped the stickers off the side. The telescope is useless, because all the usable parts are missing. I called the store a few days later and talked to the assistant manager, who assured me that he was very concerned and that he would check the shelves for the missing parts and call me back. He never did. I called back two days later and the manager that sold me the telescope answered the phone. When I asked him about the missing parts, he got very angry again and very curtly told me there was nothing there. I hung up the phone and called back a few minutes later to tell them that I was going to call the district manager because this was unacceptable. The employee at Cash America simply said OK and hung up. The district manager never returned the two messages I left for him, and I got no reply from customer service. The website on the receipt you can go to for feedback is nonexistant. This is the worst treatment Ive ever received in any store anywhere. The employees were rude and extremely intimidating. The manager took his anger out on me instead of his assistant manager, then stole the parts I had been promised off the telescope. I never raised my voice, and even offered to pay the sticker price instead of what the assistant manager had offered me, yet I got a dose of anger so bad from the manager that I had to leave the store because he was so unnerving. For many years Cash America has been exceptional at their customer service, but in talking to others Im finding out that lately not only has their customer service become outright hostile, but in my cause they engaged in outright fraud. I would avoid there going at all costs, unless you just want to had them your money and get nothing in return. I would suggest trying EZ pawn across the street, I understand thats where there former manager went.

As a small business owner I have frequently shopped here but lately customer service is missing altogether. I went in looking to purchase a abrasive chop saw which their app said this location had. What they did have was smaller compound miter/chop saw combos. I then asked if they had the ability to see the inventory for other stores and if so then (rusty red beard dude) real name is Jeff could call and ask store to confirm model number so I didnt have to travel all over salt lake county to different locations trying to find one. Jeff then replied he was busy and had to much work to do and that he wasnt going to call any stores for me,i looked around the store and replied Im the only customer in the store. He then said use the app thats why we have one. I replied I did and thats why Im at your location today, his reply was that the cost of an app would be so expensive to build to do the things but I asked for it to do, his final comment was to call corporate and tell them what I thought about the service of app. I called corporate to tell them about being my lousy store experience I received a call from store manager Albert who asked me if there was anything hr could do to make the situation right I inquired about an item that I need for my business but only wanted to discount the item. Apparently my lousy experience in this store and money I have spent there and other locations isnt that big of a deal to them never mind what my time and cost to my business I incurred because of their lousy store associate

i enojoyed coming to this place i bought some things, it must be hard working in a pawn shop you could tell the employees would get annoyed because everyone is asking for deals and i understand completely i would find it annoying as well especially knowing that the item is already at A LOW PRICE!!! haha but people are weridos but other then the fact they were very nice and kept it calm and cool, some of the employees vibes was strong they seemed very serious. but its okay thats there personalty you cant force someone to smile and act cheesy when they were never like that but they were all very respectfull and fun they talked to the customers , it was a great experience. good job to the stuff i must say they really have patients! haha i cant stress that enough some of the things the customers were doing were uhmmm kinda dumb but thats my review!

My experience with cash America has been horrible each and any time Ive been there. Their management sucks. The prices on items is terrible and their customer service down right blows! They ask how much you need on a loan then comes back with an offer that is less than half of what you needed. Did it to 2 customers in front of me also... I felt insulted, said Id take my business elsewhere, went across the street and got the respect and amount of loan i needed. Not sure how they have any business at all really... Go to VIP pawnshop instead! Called this guy just now asking if I could get a rough estimate on some things I was looking to sell. The guy was a total d-bag, wouldnt even give me room to talk. I understand that its more difficult to put a value on something thats not physically in front of you, but you could at least be polite and ask them for some detail and try to help the customer get a general idea. What the heck ever happened to "the customer is always right" ?. This guy, Jim, was very rude and in polite and they will never get my bsuiness.
