After starting a tattoo with a different shop, I started following Savage Tattoo on Instagram. I was always impressed with their postings. I did not have a good experience at the other shop. Its been a nightmare to say the least. I messaged Savage Tattoo and explained my situation. They told me to come in and talk with them. The second I walked in that door, I did not feel like I was in a tattoo shop. The girl up front who immediately stood up to greet me was amazing! She had me sit down and tell her my story. I could tell she actually cared about what I had been through and wanted to help me have a great experience with them. After showing her what I had done and telling her my story, she recommended Levi. He was right in the middle of doing a tattoo when she introduced me to him. He stopped everything he was doing to greet me. I felt extremely comfortable around him and in this shop. Like I was at home. I felt so comfortable that I put my deposit down and will be seeing Levi in July. They havent even tattood me yet and they have already exceeded my expectations with their amazing customer service and true care for their prospective clients and current clients. The owner has a true passion for his work and you can tell that by what he posts. His positive attitude and drive to be the best has carried over to his employees. He holds them to a high standard and they are exceeding that standard! Thanks again!

Well, this place was spot on. I had come across some local marketing, which was a good looking tattoo. The style and artistic touch caught my attention. I had been on the search for a good tattoo artist and this fella indicated his tattoo was done by Jroo at Savage. I went ahead and made a consultation meeting and from the time I walked in to the shop for the pre-tat meeting through the completion of the tattoo was a great experience. The staff and other artist where great to talk with as well, however the artist Jroo was impressive. His ability to take a vision and put it together in a deign that is tattoable is impressive. He works with precision top of the line equipment and he listens to the clients ideas and passions to finalize the piece. Here is the side bar benefit. Im no spring chicken, and my experience with tattoo shop brings to mind, hard attitudes and a lack of people skills. For myself and many others a tattoo is a very big decision that comes with some hesitation and when you get a bad vibe the experience is less then comforting or desirable. Jroo is not your typical tattoo artist. He is genuine, friendly and really makes you feel good about the whole experience. Ill be back to see him if he can fit me. Seems the line for dudes is multiple months :) Thx for the spider dawg Jroo!

I originally went in for a poppy flower tattoo on my arm and later changed my mind to move it to my side/hip, and add an anniversary date too. Tyson was so easy going and really flexible with me wanting to make sure I got everything exactly how I waned (which I just love) I scheduled an appointment with Tyson Dandoy, and we exchanged quite a few emails covering what I wanted and sharing ideas. I had another tattoo I had previously gotten by an apprentice that I hadnt been satisfied with it had never been up to par and Id been wanting to get fixed for a while, knowing he had scheduled most of the day for me anyway I went ahead and asked Tyson if he would do the touch up for me. Overall he was a dream to work with. Very kind and gentle, funny, we talked about all kinds of things and I felt so comfortable which is very important when getting a tattoo for me. He worked hard to get every detail how I wanted and takes his time to cleanly cut every detail. I really enjoyed working with him and could see him doing a lot more of my tattoos in the future. 10/10 vote from me on quality, professional tattooist/artist. Felt like working with my dad or something. Just easy and relaxed. Cant wait to work with him again! Highly recommend him for cover/touch ups and feel he is well rounded in many styles.

Its always sad when you have such talented artists working at a place where the owner and managers have such bad work ethics and customer service skills. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Went in to get a consultation with Jroo and everything seemed great except they only take cash (first red flag) and they also dont give you a receipt unless you ask and then its handwritten on a piece of paper (second red flag). Something came up and I could no longer make my tattoo date and needed to reschedule. Call my tattoo artist, the owner, and the store for the next 3 weeks trying to get it rescheduled and nothing even after I left multiple messages for everyone. Finally went in, frustrated and wanting my money back, I was told that instead of getting my money back I was going to be set up with a new tattoo artist, Tyson. Went in to get the tattoo and was then confronted by Jroo and was belittled for changing artist and told how disrespectful it was. And after all of this I was then told to leave, with no tattoo and didnt get my money back. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. DONT GO TO SAVAGE TATTOO. Its also really sad that all these "good reviews" arent from customers but are actually people who were asked to write a good review about savage.

I cant say enough great things about this shop for you to comprehend how amazing it is! First off, Dax and I become great friends after I won a FREE tattoo from a give away and he spend 11 hours on it and didnt charge me a dime! Dax owns the shop, so that should say what kind of business he is running. I have become great friends with everyone in the shop because they are ALL amazing people to be around. I have been tattooed by multiple people here! Jroo is an amazing artist as well! He does such solid work it will definitely have you wanting another piece before you even get home. He has done a huge leg piece on me and I really love it as a favorite. I have A LOT haha. Kira is SOLID and totally the woman to go to when you want amazing line work, fantastic designs, and heart in all of your work you receive! All the behind the scenes is Chad, who does most the online work and does the mastery of the online side of things, making sure you all are kept updated with the latest work and contests! GET TATTOOED HERE AND YOU WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! 10 STARS!!!

I decided to make the journey all the way up to Ogden one Friday afternoon after hearing the raving reviews. I made a consultation appointment and the professionalism and welcoming attitude from Brandon was phenomenal. It was like talking to an old friend. He set me up with an artist he felt would work best for what I was looking for. After driving for an hour to get up there, I was told that my artist unexpectedly went home sick that afternoon. Instead of immediately turning me away, Tyson stepped up to the job. I was so grateful that he was willing to take on my tattoo after the other artist went home. He made sure my time was not wasted one bit. We made the appointment and I came back two weeks later to get my tattoo. Tyson is extremely talented, fun to work with and he will do anything to make sure youre happy and getting exactly what you want, even if it means starting from scratch on something completely custom. Im very happy with my tattoo and how well I was taken care of. I highly recommend Savage for anyone looking for a great tattoo experience!
