The employees at this location are the absolute worst. The majority of employees do not take the time to learn about their products. Megan seems to know about a few things though. None seem to listen to the actual questions I asked, but just regurgitated some weird concoction of words that they appeared to have in their head at the time. One of the employees, I believe her name is Tori retrieved the wrong product for me two times in the same visit: asked for the Motorola 843 connect. She reached in and grabbed me the 854. I noticed immediately because its written right there on the box. This event would foreshadow the ass-clownery that would consume my afternoon. Eventually purchased the 843 at full price, just to take it to my car and find out it had been opened, and used enough that the monitor screen accumulated several scratches. Brought it back inside to exchange for a new unused one. Tori then went and retrieved the 843 connect-2...name, while similar, is also stated on the outside of the box, which is notably bigger than the box of the 843 connect, because of the extra camera. I noticed this right away also. 20 MINUTES LATER she got around to placing an online order for me because they had no others in stock. I was frustrated but happy to be done with that circus act... Just to find out 3 hours later that she entered the incorrect shipping info on my order. Called the store. Person #1 said they didnt have enough training to handle my request to change the shipping address so I was transferred. Person #2 ALSO said they needed to transfer me to someone who "knows more about this". Person #3 finally told me I had to call corporate to make the change. Called corporate and they told me that despite the fact that the order is still processing and hasnt shipped, theres nothing they can do, and I have to work it out with the shipping company after I get confirmation that the package is shipped. Tori is not very good at this. And this was just todays experience. My typical experience here consists of this: walk in. try to decide between 2 similar products by reading the boxes and assessing differences. ask an employee to clarify the difference between the 2 products if Im still confused, or just ask for advice or a recommendation. Watch employee read the boxes just like I just did for a few minutes. I roll my eyes. They provide zero information which couldnt be found on the box. I thank them for their time and immediately wish I would have just made a baby registry on Amazon instead. Instead of adding those silly, pointless phrases under the employees name on their name tag, maybe this company could invest more time and money into hiring quality employees or training them to provide better customer service. The service they currently provide is embarrassing and I wouldnt recommend them to any expectant family. Unless of course theyre in the market for a stressful experience. The moment I spend the last dollar of Babies R Us gift card money I have, I hope to never have to come back.

Wish I could give a review with ZERO STARS! I want to start out by saying that I am the 2nd half of a gay marriage and my Husband and I are are expecting twins in September. This amazing gift is the reason why we are shopping in multiple baby stores and what better than a well known Babies "R" Us. When we first walked in, we immediately noticed that organization and streamline A/B down stocking. Im from a retail background, so the look and feel is very important. After the look and feel comes the Customer Service and assistance piece of a successful business. This is the area, that the Babies "R" Us in Midvale Utah definitely missed in every way. As my husband and I were looking for Strollers, Basinets, Cribs, Rockers, and everything else that is needed for newborns. (As a reminder, we are having twins, so pretty much every item needed is doubled. This is not to say "We deserve extra attention", however, any sale is a good sale. Our is just doubled). To get back to this 30 minutes of dissatisfaction, we were not asked by 1 employee or sales rep if we needed help, nor were we asked if we had any questions. We did have an employee that waited for us to look at a display stroller and then asked if she could pass. That was nice of her.... As we walked the store, we felt as if the employees looked at us with the "what are those gay guys doing in here" glares and a form of disgust. Believe me when I say I am definitely not playing the gay card, I am merely stating that I noticed them looking at us and not assisting us to make a sale. Once we finished looking at everything, we headed to the cashier to pay for the items we did want to purchase. As we walked up to the counter, Jeff the cashier made a conscious effort to not ask us if we found everything ok, do we need assistance in anything, or if there was something he can help us order online. He also ignored my "Good Morning" statement. We did have the luxury of having us tell us we couldnt by a diaper kiddy because it was part of a bedroom set. "Not unless you want to spend $174.00 for the whole set" he stated. I informed him that we will need 2 complete sets if we did that, and he ignored what I said and just told us the total. Of course we paid and left. Do to the lack of customer service all around the entire store and the blatant disrespect from Jeff, we will not go back to the store, nor will we register for the 4 baby showers we will be having with family and friends around the united states. This is a very exciting and happy event in everyones life that enters a Babies R Us. Customers come to this store for a very specific reason and I am shocked in how rude Jeff was, the lack of customer service in all the employees and how making a sale was not important to anyone. If this location was not supported by the financial backing from corporate, this location would shut down. I also cant imagine what the Year over Year sales #s are and the declined business that this location has. What is important to you?

The store itself is great, its clean and is well organized. It is too bad there is only one in the salt lake valley because I have to drive 45 minutes to get there. Last time I went I had forgotten my 15% off coupon, which isnt a huge deal, but I had my husband take a picture of it and I asked the cashier lady if they would accept it. She said it should be no problem but would have to ask a manager. She paged him and it took 7 minutes for anyone to come down, the store was empty and I was the only one in line. I had even told her it was okay without it but she had assured me that he was on his way. When he finally got there he had told me he couldnt do it if the physical coupon wasnt there. At this point I was very frustrated, not only did Jimmy the manager, not even ask me anything he straight up said no, so then I had told him I had to wait 7 minutes for someone to come all the way up to tell me no to a 15% off one item coupon? I had already taken forever to drive up to this place. He finally did it but definitely not as a kind gesture. The second time I came up was today with my husband. And we had been waiting in a long line again, there were 4 people in line and one person ahead of me and one cashier. After several minutes, Jimmy the same manger came up to the long line of customers and asked the lady behind me if she wanted to come over to the next register. Not my family, and the lady in front of me was doing returns and exchanges and was no where being done. It was after the lady behind us had said well this family is next, did he take us. I would hate to say it has anything to do with racism, but I honestly have no idea why he would ask people behind us to go first, then he had a smug attitude when I had asked about a price on an item, that I had to walk away and let my husband deal with him. I told him about my experience last time with Jimmy, and he understood my frustration and also walked away thinking he was kind of an ass. I am just very sad to know there is only one babies r us around and that if I go again I will do my best to avoid him. Awful experiences the last couple times going.
