My dad called and asked the lady if the surcharge included assembly. She said yes. When the bed arrived today it was from fed ex. It was delivered by a young girl who could barely carry the packages. My mom tried to help move a package to at least get it into the front door. Her back is in pain now. I called World Market and explained how we were told it would be brought into the house and assembled. She said that was not the policy and expected me to just except this information. I asked her for a supervisor. She put me in hold for a while then said no one could talk to me. She said it would be 24-48 hours before someone got back with me. Meanwhile I have a heavy package blocking the main doorway to the house. I became more upset and said someone needed to make this right and talk to me immediately. Finally a supervisor was put on the phone. So this shows the girl was lying to me and didnt want to put a supervisor on the phone. This is bad business. The first supervisor said she would give 20 percent off so we could hire someone to move the package. I explained the situation again and said we didnt even want the bed anymore. She said fed ex could pick it up Wednesday. Very upset I said we have a package stuck in the walkway! The. She said they could come tomorrow, Tuesday between 8am-6. She said we would have to move the package outside on the front porch. I said we can not move the package! How hard is it to understand we can not move this package!? She then said she would give 25 percent off. I asked for a mother supervisor and she gave 30 percent off. I was not getting anywhere with the customer service so I just took the 30 percent. My parents and I are very upset about this whole process from the first girl lying to my dad about the bed being delivered and assembled to the customer service girls not caring about the problem of the package delivery. As I told the supervisor today, business is not being run in America as it used to be. Between horrible companies like Sprint and corrupt leasing offices at apartment complexes, to businesses like this, there is lack of integrity in peoples work. People are treated as cattle by companies like World Market. You spend so much money on marketing and cutting corners to give a less expensive price. While you have employees who are incompetent and negligent.

One of my favorite stores to get lost in. My husband frequently goes to Sports Clips for his haircuts and while he was getting a haircut on Saturday I decided to sneak into World Market. I am absolutely impressed with their furniture prices, they had a 25% off furniture sale going on and I couldnt believe the quality. I love this store for so many reasons, the decor is beautiful, the food variety is fun and I LOVE the little trinkets you can find. I am definitely coming back to get some marble shelves (love that you have the option to customize shelving) and to get a globe once I do (they have quit a few in the back). The associates were really nice and the store seemed really organized.

Came here looking for modern accent chairs that didnt cost an arm and a leg, and walked away really happy with two new chairs at a fraction of the cost Id seen other places for pretty much the same product. The staff was also very helpful and did a great job of answering my questions and offering a discount for a floor model, which saved me an extra $50. Some of the products arent fantastic quality, which is one of the few downsides to World Market. However, you can sometimes find really great deals here, which might make the tradeoff worth it for you.

So many good things here! Ive found so many things that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere. Treats that Ive had in the past that I have tried to find anywhere else have been available. Things from Europe, Asia, the land down under, etc. Go look for those things you cant find elsewhere and then you can find some other new favorites. Definitely worth a visit. You never know what wonderful treasure you will find.

World market is a neat store. There are many things in there for your home, but its the food selections that are cool. World market has attempted to stock popular food items from around the world. I lived out East for a time and became addicted to cheer wine. I have never been able to find it in Utah until I found it here by accident. I would definitely come back just for that drink.

Friendly staff 5 stars, merchandise 1 star. This store has so much crap I honestly dont know why I would go in there. They sell food and chairs, rugs, greeting cards and tchotchkes. The mix is so dynamic its really hard to know why you would walk in the door. If you have a consumerism bone in your body and want to waste your money go ahead.

I like this store. It provides a wife variety on culture with foods, and decor. They are friendly and helpful. Its always a fun trip to world market. Tip this isnt a grocery store. It has some international goods, but its not like your local grocery store. Also if you want amazing kitchen products or decor. This is a good place to look.

The location in Cottonwood Heights is still there contrary to the review below that was too blind to see a Hugh sign that says World Market. The product I have bought there is great and much better priced compared to other stores that may have the same thing for example... Create and Barrel. The service I have had has always been great.

One of my favorite places when Im gift hunting. I love their housewares and deco...plus I can find all kinds of random goodness in the food/candy section. Im quickly falling in love with their furniture as well. Candles, french milled soap, various olive oils... Even my husband likes coming in here...seriously.

They said they had what we needed in Stock, and that lots of people have been asking for it, but that it was under some boxes, so they wouldnt get it for us. Ended up putting everything in my cart back on the shelf since irefuse to give them business after that. Completely ridiculous. Definitely wont be back

My least favorite of all of the Costcos. Many of the staff are downright rude and act irritated if you need their help. They feel its acceptable to continue to harass you to upgrade your membership at the checkout even when you tell them point-blank youre not interested.

The only downside is that I spend WAY more money and buy way more things than I intend to every time I go in. There is such a wide selection of so many crafty/home items and who can pass up their selection of drink syrups and coffees? I certainly cannot.

I really love the selection of items at this particular World Market. Helpful employees, easy to find what youre looking for, and easy to get lost in the many, many, MANY aisles of amazing items :) sign up for their emails, too. Great heads ups on sales.

World Market offers sundries from around the world at prices that reflect the relative difficulty of providing such obscure products. That is to say that its pretty expensive. Beyond this though, they sell lots of products you cannot get anywhere else.
