Well, I just had an absolutely AWFUL experience at Sunshine Health Foods in Cedar City. Recently, I bought some mango mochi from there. It was marked down to 99 cents, which was way cheaper than usual, but I didnt think much of it. After eating it, I became violently ill for almost three days. I could barely get out of bed. Come to find out, it had expired FIVE years ago!!! Five years! I went in today to talk to them about it and after I told the woman cashiering what had happened, an older man (who I presume is the owner) came out and started the process of refunding it to me even though I never asked him to. When I told him everything, he became extremely defensive and rude as all hell. He continued to make unbelievably lame excuses as we argued. Then when I asked for the box back to keep as proof, he took it and sharply refused to return it to me because I had "already been refunded." Refunded against my will, maybe! He then claimed that the staff knew it was old since it was put on the clearance rack, but didnt know it was five years out of date. (I dont know, just a crazy idea here, but maybe you should check the expiration date before selling it to people??!) Ive never had anyone be so condescending toward me in my life. He also asked if I knew for sure that the mochi was what caused it, and if I had blood work done and stuff to PROVE it. He actually said that!!! Anyway, Im not sure where to go from here, but I am incredibly frustrated and thought venting might make me feel slightly better. Which it did, actually.

Shopping at Albertsons is immoral when you have options such as this. Shop here and the money stays in the community rather than going to a corporate headquaters in NYC or DC. Too many students buying poisoned food (GMO, INorganic, chemicals) from WalMart and it is hurting this city greatly. Sunshine has just about anything a Vegan could want, or anyone who cares just a bit about what they put in their body. Props Sunshine. Abe from Seattle

A nice little store. Iv seen other negative reviews and was hesitant to go there cause iv been a Whole Foods only shopper for at least 3 years now. They arnt as big but at least they are TRYING! They have more there then say Walmart or Smiths. They told me they can special order anything as they get shipments twice a week. If you really needed to get alot at once, St George or Vegas will have what you need.

I love this place... Very friendly & helpful, Employees are always willing to help find or order what I need. They have a really good selections for being a smaller store. I think the prices are reasonable on most of the items I buy there. I have compared them with other health food stores in the area, BUT this store is always my first choice...

This place if a mecca for those coming from a city! Tons of bulk teas and spices in the back, a huge selection of speciality ice creams, and an awesome fridge filled to the brim with kombucha! Their prices are super fair too. Watch out though, Ive found quite a few expired items on the shelf.

I have never been anything but displeased with this establishment. The management is belligerent and surly and the produce is sickly. Everything is overpriced, even compared to superior products in the same area. Stay away. Beg your friends to stay away too.

Its great to have a natural foods based store in culture-deprived Cedar, and I love the store, I just hope that in the future they can expand the produce section and maybe bring in some Asian foods. I cant find oolong tea or lotus paste anywhere!

Its nice, they carry the natural stuff you cant find in other stores. The only bad thing is there rice crackers were stale and the bag was not sealed well enough to keep out other flavors. Over all people are friendly, great little store.

We love this place. Friendly, helpful and professional. These ladies know their products. Our Cedar City health food store is small, but well stocked and the employees make it pleasure to shop there. Oh, its affordable too.
