I went in there a few weeks ago for the usual annual eye exam, they inspected my eyes and said everything was fine with them. I told them my contacts had been bothering me lately so they suggested I switch brands, I agreed and went to the front desk to pay for this new brand after they gave me a sample trial. Well, the sample trial didnt work well after the first day as the right contact went to the back of my eye. Went back and they gave me another pair of trial contacts, but they told me I couldnt wear them longer than two weeks. This new pair starts acting up just like the previous pair, so Im forced to go back again (at the 2 week mark when they told me to get rid of them) and then they inspect my eyes again and NOW tell me that theres something wrong with them, that Ive been wearing contacts for too long and it has somehow affected my ability to wear them. At this point they are suggesting I switch back to glasses for a while to give my eyes a break, which is fine, this sort of stuff happens. What I dont understand is why they let me walk out with that old pair that they strictly told me to throw away after exactly 2 weeks, especially after telling me that my eyes are very irritated AND infected and that I should stop wearing contacts ASAP. Anyway, I went to look at the selection of glasses right after that visit, and the optician there was not helpful at all. She was chatting with another customer about something totally unrelated to glasses, while I walked around the area for about 20 mins waiting to try some glasses on that were locked. I ended up leaving since she didnt look like shed be done talking anytime soon. So Im home, with no contacts AND no glasses, struggling immensely to do anything; Ive a high prescription for my vision and therefore I cant see too much if its farther than 2 feet, which they know as well. I hope anyone reading this can understand the frustration and desperation that Im feeling at the lack of help and sympathy from any of the staff members. To make matters worse, all this is going on the week Im supposed to be obtaining my CDL license and Im supposed to take 6 tests, which is great since I have NO CONTACTS OR GLASSES. I go back yet again the next day out of desperation to get my eyesight back and luckily the optician is not busy this time, I pick a frame and she tells me itll be about 2 weeks before my glasses are ready (and yes, Im still wearing the old pair of contacts thats irritating my eyes because how else am I supposed to get there), but thats if I pay out of pocket. In trying to get the refund back for the contacts that they asked me to return, she tells me itll be 4 weeks if I want the insurance to cover it. I go home instead thinking of what should be my next step, and I decide that I will simply go to a local optician knowing that I will have to pay out of pocket but dont really have another option. I called the TSO optician and asked if I could just get a refund instead for the contacts as opposed to the credit to which she simply replied "Yeah", her tone of voice showing indifference for the troubles Id been through with them. So that day I decide to get my glasses elsewhere and paid about another $200 for them. Then the manager decides to call sometime after Id gotten my glasses to ask why I went somewhere else and I told her the situation, to which she replies that the glasses couldve been done in half an hour for about $50....AFTER ID ALREADY PAID $200 FOR ANOTHER PAIR. How come this information had not been given to me at all by the optician?!? Of course I wouldve gone back to pay only $50 for glasses! The manager also decided to take my open and unopened boxes of contacts, even though I paid $200 for them; she said shed give me a refund for that and Im still waiting to hear back from them, I hope they are happy with the money they stole from me. All in all, terrible, nightmarish experience, having to go there 5 times only to get NOTHING resolved. Prime example of unprofessionalism.

UPDATE: I recently had to go back in to the store to have to help my husband sort out his eye glasses issues. I was dreading it. But thankfully they had read my last review and the overpowering scent has been reduced to a light enjoyable aroma. Thank you for that and Im sure other migraine suffers thank you as well. It made waiting and shopping for glasses pleasant. Still had about a 45 minute wait from out appointed time, so be prepared to wait. OLD: I cant be in this store without developing a migraine because of the air fresher scent is so strong. The heavy smell hits you like a brick wall when you come in. Its absolutely miserable to come here. It would be so bad, if they didnt make you wait for so long. I waited 20 minutes two week ago to pick up my husbands box of contacts. Last week I waited another 10-15 minutes to pick up his glasses and trail pair of different contacts. Today Ive been sitting here another 20 minutes waiting because I wanted to drop off the glasses I just picked up because my husband said the prescription is messed up. Ended up having to walk out because my migraine exploded and I dont think theyd like me throwing up all over the floor. And every appointment has been at least 20-40 minutes late, everytime.

I went in for an eye exam which was ok. I bought new glasses and contacts. I have had to many problems with my glasses. I sept over $500 (with insurance). I had to have them change the lenses twice because they use cheap lenses or product. I love the frames I have but the lenses are screwing with my eye sight. I also had an eye infection that they should have dectected. If I am going to spend that much money on my eye care then I expect to have a good product and expect you to see if there is anything wrong with my eyes. I went and got a second opinion and this is when I found out that I had a eye infection which was making it hard for me to wear my contacts. These are supposed to be trained professionals and they are supposed to know their job. My eye sight is my way of life. I do not recomment anyone going to them and putting your eye sight in their hands.

I had an eye exam which was acceptable. I needed eye correction for both near and far vision. They pushed hard for me to buy their expensive Varilux lens that provided correction for far, immediate and near ranges. I bought them. When the glasses arrived, I had only a postage stamp vision for the near and immediate ranges which was unacceptable. They asked me to wear them for a week to see if my eyes would adjust, my eyes did not adjust. Their correction to the problem was to provide bifocal lens which are a cheaper lens. They would not reimburse me the price difference between the expensive Varilux lens and the bifocal lens. I am having to work through my credit card company to get a refund. TSO provided poor customer service and questionable quality business practice. I do not recommend TSO.
