Overpriced books, inefficiency and rude employees. I tried to return a book rental with some minimal cover damage the other day. The employee I spoke with was extremely irriatted and short with me when I explained that I did not have my card on me at the moment. I understand that there was some damage to the cover, and am willing to pay for the book. As I am leaving she snidely says to me "Hope you dont mind late fees"... WTF? So today I attempt to pay for the book online (through an email that was sent to my inbox), but the website will not allow customers to pay online. INEFFICIENT! I then call the store to pay over the phone, which the employee refused to help me with. I do not live in San Marcos, am unable to drive down until next week, and the store is unable to wave the late fee. .. Service such as this is unacceptable, especially in an instant where the customer is reaching out to responsibly take care of a situation Your books and customer service are not worth the effort or money. I will shop else where and recommend others do as well

I went in to buy "Essentials for Corporate Finance" and found it $30+ cheaper at the University Bookstore. I pointed this out to the associates and they said "We no longer price match." As I walked out the store I looked back and the front sign said they guarantee the lowest prices in town and do price match. When I went back in to complain and request to take the sign off, the associate finally got approval from the manager out back to price match BUT only if its in stock at the University Bookstore and theyd have to call if its more than a $5 difference. Thats crap. I shouldnt have to complain in order to get whats stated AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE! CHECK PRICES LOCALLY!!! PS: The little bookstore on Guadalupe and Hopkins (hidden gem) was $80 cheaper for my Intermediate Accounting (used). Id check there before going elsewhere.

This place is a joke. Overcharge you for new books, refuse to price match despite advertising it, and lowball you when you try and sell your books back. Im not kidding when I say go anywhere but here..seriously

Great little store if you live by Butler, Sterry, and Lantana if you dont want to walk all the way to LBJ
