Starting off I came to this dealer because my cousin worked here. So there for I trusted the dealer. So about 2 years ago I purchased a 2009 Ford Edge, during the course of a little over a year the suv was in the shop over 10 times. Only 2 times did they offer me a Car to drive. Due to the SUV being returned for the same problem 6 times. One car they did offer me broke down on me. After a bunch of back and forth – back and forth for a year - the owner worked with me and basically said he’ll take the suv back. (That its what the consider a GHOST car. Google is if you do not know. Said they were going to take the suv to auction.) ( I ll explain why I am telling you this later) When the owner took the SUV back he paid off the balance I owed even if the value of the suv was less than I owe. I thought that was awesome that they did that, Made a better impression. Mr Barrett offered me a new Vehicle of any choice @ 0 down. I was impressed they were taking care of me. Upon receiving the Truck I wanted, Someone stole the tail gate the night before from the Garland lot. When I drove it back to the Rowlett lot they told me that they would order me a BRAND NEW one since it was stolen on one of their lots. Well They fixed everything I needed fixed. I was very happy. So after two weeks of the truck being in the shop I went yesterday to pick up the truck. I drove 2 hours there and 2 hours back in traffic Well I never got a chance to look over the truck- It was such a long drive I needed to get my son home and asleep. Once I got a chance this morning I went and looked at the ( NEW ) tailgate they got me. I am extremely upset. There are scratched in the tail gate. Started looking more around the tail gate and the top plastic rim has notched and dink all over it.... Pull the tail gate down and the plastic lining of the tailgate is all roughed up... Then I thought to myself... this is not a NEW tail gate.. They bought a used one and placed it on my truck. I have had nothing but issues with any Vehicle I have bought there and would not RECOMMEND ANYONE to shop here at any point. I thought I was getting a good deal when they took my LEMON “ GHOST” SUV back, but in all honesty- my payments are 200$ a month more almost and my total cost is 10 grand more. Its ok I got what I wanted. SO back to the SUV: After they told me that it was going to Auction... My husband went up there to take my truck and saw the 2009 BLACK FORD EDGE SUV on the LOT for sale. Now what kinda dealer says to you , Ill take the car back because its a ghost car and we will take it to auction, then turn right around and place the car back on the lot for sale to some other person... Well the car has been sold. (HOPE whom ever has it nothing else goes wrong) I hope that anyone who decides to buy from here really looks into what they are buying and have it checked out by someone you trust before signing. I think these people are crooked

The car buying process in the Sachse location was super easy and fast. We were told they could work with us on the $1500 down payment break it down into a payment plan. We got the payment plan all worked out. When it was time to make our first payment everything that was discussed at the dealership was unknown to the finance company and they wanted an outrageous amount to keep the car. My husband and I were able to come up with the payment but it put a huge strain on our finances. Now weve had the car 2 years. Weve had countless issues with it. A week ago my car started to over heat. I drove it to the Barrett Motors on Forest. I couldnt make it any further. I asked one of the employes if they could tow it to the service center 6.6 miles away...or if they could help me get it there. I was told no to both requests. I was furious and left the car parked there and walked home. Do u think they cared? Hell no!!!! They called me to move my car from the dealership parking lot and on to the street because it was an eye sore. Barrett motors does have a service center and they do let u finance the repairs with a small down payment. This is a plus...but the service center is ALWAYS BUSY!!!!! and not convent at all. And on top of it all there NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS!!!! Who does this?!?!?!?! Weekends are usually when most people have time to get there car worked on, and Im guessing this is why it takes so long to get my car repaired on top of "waiting for parts". OMG is someone delivering the parts from Africa on a bike? Wtf is taking so long? Can someone not go pick up the parts? Simple equation : no car = no job = no payment for barrett motors. You would think they would try harder.

I was iffy on trying to buy a car here but saw one I really liked so decided to try this place out. I stopped in about 6:30 and the salesman I saw seemed to be in a hurry to leave since they closed at 7PM. He asked if I would just email him all my information in the morning. So I took the application with me and filled it out at home. Next morning like clock work he was calling asking if I was going to send the application with the documentation he needed. I got it over to him about 10AM everything except for proof of insurance since I was waiting for my insurance company to send me a copy. I got that around 11:30 or so and sent that over as well. Waited never heard anything. He sent a couple emails regarding some stuff which i had already provided and here he was requesting it again so I emailed it over AGAIN. I had to call back to see if he had heard anything from the finance department. He said they wanted my boyfriend on the car since he lived with me...I said NO. I had proof of income and everything they needed. My income was not a problem but for some reason they wanted my boyfriend on my car note since he paid my rent. I even gave them proof that he paid my rent and still nothing. I called and emailed Johnathan no response. Quick to call you and bug for the information but cant get a yes or no you are approved going on a week now and still have not heard from anyone. Not a great way to do business.

THESE GUYS ARE TRULY AWESOME!!! I got a car from them in June...I was a first time buyer and after going to so many dealerships and dealing with crappy salesman who only care about making money for themselves...barrett left me 100% satisfied!!! The car I initially wanted was out of my reach because I had a lower downpayment, my credit isnt the best and had never owned a car before. Mike (the hitman I believe is what he goes by) and the manager of finance got me into a different vehicle with the same functions I was wanting (bluetooth, heated seating, satellite radio, etc) that I am beyond happy with. The process was quick...they waited for me past closing hours because of my work hours and I was out within 2 (I was able to do my app online). Very quick and easy! I would gladly recommend anyone to this place! thanks again guys!
