I want to preface my rating by saying I would give this store less than one star if it allowed me to. My husband and I came here to purchase a Samsung dryer that was not in-stock at our local store in League City. Once we located the appliance, we got the attention of the clerk working in that department and politely explained why we were there. This older white woman (for the record and not that this should matter, I am a 28 year old white woman, my husband a 28 year old white man) rudely replied, "Well, did you get a basket??" Clearly, we didnt have a basket with us and we were both a little confused as to why she was asking. In all of my experiences buying appliances, Ive never loaded them up into a basket and rolled out of them store as is. When she realized we didnt understand what she was getting at, she explained wed have to go to the landscaping department to get a flat cart and come back to load it up. One: I wasnt under the impression that I would be buying the floor display. Two: Even if I WAS going to buy the display, I sure as hell wasnt going to load it up by myself, with just my husband. When we returned with the cart, we noticed some scuffs on the front of the door and side. I was frustrated at this point and suggested we leave and go elsewhere. When my husband and I started to leave, this woman just stared at us with her hands by her side, like "what the hell are yall waiting on?!" I am an easy person to get along with and cordial, even to those I dont care for. Ill never, ever come back to this store again. I wish I would have caught this ladys name, but I left because I didnt want to be rude - which I would have been.

i came into the store to return a duster that i had purchased, from the silverlake store. the young lady returned it to a store credit, which i didnt pay for it with a store credit, but i did not mind since i needed more stuff from there anyways. i found a drill that i liked but didnt buy it because i couldnt get help finding the attachments for it. i then picked up 6 door stoppers for my new house. i went to self checkout to pay for them with an egift card, and instantly the cashier says she cant take it. i mean i got this egift card from redeeming my Citibank Thank You points, and its for home depot. how can home depot not accept their own egift cards. it makes no sense!!! she called a supervisor over, i showed her my phone, and she said the same thing. i told her that the home depot in pearland takes them, with no issues. shes still refused to take it, before i could ask for another manager, she called "loss prevention." so now i am a crook, scammer, or theif?? i just wanted my door stops. eventually loss prevention told her that egift cards are okay to use. she turns to me and says is it a egift card?, in a very rude tone. i said "yes" and she said "show me" .... so at this point im thinking that she thinks i am lying to her, i showed her on my phone. then she said to the cashier that it was acceptable. how did this lady move up in position with an attitude like that? i didnt even get an apology for their own confusion. next time ill just redeem for a Lowes egift card then.

This store continues to amaze me with their disregard for customer service and horrible communication. We ordered commercial grade carpet and installation for our business which we were told included removal of the old flooring. Excellent! Just what we needed and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, removal of the old flooring did not include some laminate tile along with the old carpet. This was communicated to HD when we made the purchase. The installer goes out to take the measurement...no mention that they will not take up the laminate. The installers come out and go to work...no mention of not removing the laminate. The job is done and guess what. They put the carpet right over the laminate. Home Depot is clueless as well as their "professional" installers. It was about 50sqft of laminate that I could have popped up in about 30 minutes but since they said they would remove the existing flooring I thought I would just let them deal with it. What a joke. DO NOT trust their installers to do a good job. They also did not install the thresholds because, come to find out, they dont have the right type. Shouldnt that be part of the planning for the job? So here I am with lumpy carpet, no transitions and nothing but excuses from Home Depot. Oh, and the cost to have someone come out to clean up their shoddy work. Do yourself a favor; go across Fairmont to Lowes.

Received an e-mail on upcoming sale. Arrived at store at 7:00 a.m. on sale day and no one I talked to knew what I was talking about, Each time Id ask a person theyd ask another and another and then Id wait and wait. No one would say to me "Pardon me maam, but were checking on it and well let you know ASAP." I got silence, turned back....when the guy from the department finally came up to the front he said in regards to the sale "Never heard of it." He then turned is back on me and went to a computer and I again - waited, and waited and waited. Finally, he yelled over his shoulder for me to "Come here". When he saw the ad he got up and started walking to the back of the store...5 paces in front of me and not telling me what he was doing...I followed along like I was some kind of kid in trouble with his dad - he then gestured to an aisle that had about 10 items on it and said that those were the sale items. When I tried to ask him why there wasnt more and why the items that were in the paper werent there I got a mumbled "This is where we put stuff because we have no room"....as he walked away. I cant believe this store stays in business. Who is the manager and who is responsible for customer service training?

Its truly sad that people really could care less if you get what you are looking for, even worse, if they do know what it is that you are looking for they have no idea the proper way it is used and can offer no advise. I have gotten to the point of asking for no help when I am at the Depot. I have had times were I had asked several employees the same question regarding a product from their store and I was given completely different answers from every single one of them. The answers that I did get were actually very funny, so now I will ask questions that I know the proper answer to and I sit back and watch these people make fools of themselves. Basically, the source of the problem is management, I feel bad for customers who seek advise from this store. In fact DONT apply any advise that you receive from this store to your house or you could cause serious damage to your home.
