Product was promised to be delivered by 09:30 A.M. Called the store twice, first time the answer was that they delivery van was in Hunt Texas and that they would be here next, before lunch. We called again, and they said that they would be here before lunch again. They then said that the item was to be delivered before 5:00 PM. Given the two prior failures to deliver ON TIME, I cannot believe that they will deliver at all. More later. Later: Called service department, was told that the delivery men were cleaning the back dock / loading area. Now it is 3:30, still no truck. Called regional office, and spoke with customer service representative who told me that I had a legitimate complaint. Much later: Kenmore washer finally delivered by two men who once were here did a super job of installing the washer in the home, very quick and efficient. I cant help but wonder who is running the store. The two workers said that an shipment of 30 items arrived this morning and that this was why they were late. I have worked in a stock room once before myself, and I never took all of four hours to unload the truck, we had hundreds of item to inventory as they were received. The "reason" given was that the "other workers" were late getting back from lunch. This means that there something going on that is inefficient. The last straw was that they never called to say they would be late. We gave them the number when we purchased it at the store, along with name address, and telephone number. When we were finally called back by the service representative in Austin Texas we were informed that the reason that they hadnt called us was they couldnt find our phone number in the phone book. This was not necessary since it was with the receipt. I see failure and financial ruin for any similarly run company subject to the whims of the free market economy. Most customers will simply take their business elsewhere. I will probably not since the alternative vendors are companies that only seem to sell goods manufactured overseas. Sears gets a few more chances, but not many before business moves to the "other" stores such as Wal-Mart, or Ace Hardware, both of which seem bent on selling goods made in China and elsewhere.

Beyond thrilled with both the service and the product. The price was excellent too, best I could find anywhere for the electric range I bought. And the gas range that I bought before that, that they exchanged for the electric range when I found out I couldnt get gas to our home. So helpful through the whole credit/exchange process too. Delivery was earlier than scheduled (by about an hour) and the delivery staff were fast, friendly, and efficient. Will definitely buy here again.

Small error when they ordered the wrong appliance but quickly corrected it and delivered shortly thereafter with minimal inconvenience. Appliances are very good quality, beautiful design, seem to perform well, very happy with purchase. Salespeople were helpful, worked with our schedules for delivery, knowledgeable. Would recommend Sears locally for appliances.
