This is probably the friendliest and best stocked craft store Ive been to in some time! I was amazed when I went in: yes theres primarily fabric, but theres a full supply of most other things you could want as well. Their decor section isnt as expansive (or as gaudy...) as Hobby Lobby, but in my eyes thats a good thing, because it leaves more room for crafts things. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, at checkout no one ever seems bored or moody, if anything theyre quite happy to make sure youve got your coupons ready! Theres also a sewing machine shop inside this JoAnn, which has been useful when Ive needed replacement parts for my Singer.

Great experience here. Wanted to create adult costumes for Tex Ren Fair. Went to the design/pattern books and had a bunch of options to sort through. Easy to find the pattern number. Then went around the store looking for fabrics, thread, additional items like buttons, etc. Pretty friendly salespeople; would help out if I asked. Also, I returned about $50 work of unused ribbon after 6 MONTHS with receipt and at first I had to push the cashier a little to return it for me. So she got her manager and they refunded straight to card. Will be back.

Only one person cutting fabric and everyone else is running around looking too busy to help customers. I asked for a price check and the lady was rude about it. She didnt look like she was in the mood to help anyone. Another lady started randomly telling people it was a long wait and to get comfortable, as if we didnt already see that. She then walked away instead of helping cut fabric. If you know what youre looking for fine, otherwise go down the street to hobby lobby. This was the first and last I come here.

The store is nice and large, a bit too large for some people perhaps. For a Sunday afternoon they had pretty good coverage though the line at the cutting counter was really long and a bit slow. I didnt use the cutting line but watched it while I was doing my other shopping. One other little ding, JoAnns now considers Xyron cartridges a machine and their coupon will no longer work for those items.

This place is ridiculous. I went to another Joann which allows dogs. Walked in with my 10 pound dog and was immediately told shes not allowed. Go to a real quilt shop if you want fabric or Michaels for craft supplies. Im headed to Hobby Lobby now. And dont forget to use Joann coupons at competitor stores!

The manager at this store is beyond rude. Ive had an employee pick my son up when he was 6 months old because he was crying while we checked out. If I can find it elsewhere I will. Unfortunately they have more options than hobby lobby on a lot of things. :(

I started doing a lil sewing for Renn Faire costumes this year, and this place is the best store in Katy for fabric. Make sure you watch out for deals on their website a well for deep discounts.
