If you are a beginner, do not take these classes. "Go to the sewing guild or anywhere else!" A lady in line AT THE STORE told me this and I wish I wouldve listened to her, but I already had hundreds of dollars invested in several classes. The lady teaching the sewing 101 class I took, Shirley...who has severe dandruff and its very gross, by the way, teaches many of the classes, unfortunately. She spent the majority of the class with the more advanced students and left myself and another very inexperienced student in the dust. Why would experienced sewers take a beginning class??? Both myself and the other student that was a beginner had to cancel the next class because we did not learn enough to continue on. I was told by the manager that regardless of whether I learned anything or not, I still had to pay for the class. I spent over two hundred dollars in classes and supplies! It took three hours to purchase all that stuff because they were so busy I had to take a number each time I had a question because there was nobody on the floor to help. they were either cutting or cashiering. It was a horrible experience overall. they only refunded me $85. They also cancelled two classes saying I was the only one enrolled and I drove over 40 miles round trip to find this out because they did not call and let me know. Rude, incompetent, and dandruffy!!! Yuck!!!

I went to Joann Fabrics to get some stuffing for my amigurumi projects, and the kind I wanted to buy happened to be half-off that day, so that was awesome. I also bought 5 different brands of yarn from their MASSIVE yarn selection. 4-5 aisles of all kinds of weights. And they said they were getting more soon! I cant wait to go back and check out their new yarn (and it was just a coincidence, but they were playing my favorite Backstreet Boys song over the speaker when I was shopping, lol). The manager was really nice and helped me find the clip-on eyes for amigurumi I was trying to find as well. When I got to the register, the cashier was really friendly (sorry I cant remember her name). She asked if I had any coupons, and I told her I had left mine at home in my yarn bag. She then grabbed a stack of coupons from under the register and rang all of them up for me!! I ended up spending $15 on $45 worth of materials!!! :) They have a huge selection too for all kinds of crafts. I couldnt be happier with my experience and cant wait to go back.

Ive been to this location twice. Once in the evening and once mid-day. Lines are long and extremely slow. They only have one or two cashiers and they arent very friendly. While I was looking for items, I asked an associate for help and she wasnt very helpful. She wasnt familiar with the store and didnt know where to direct me. She didnt offer to get someone to help me out and just walked away. Dont believe this sign above the registers that says they "will return any item with a receipt within 90 days". They will not return clearance items even though their signs says any item. Dont even bother trying to get a manager. They will call for one but the manager seems to move slower than the lines and taken even longer to get to you. Overall bad experience from beginning to end. Be prepared to take a person that is willing to wait in line while you shop so you dont have to make a 45 minutes trip for three items.

Love this place for seeing and crafts. My only complaint was that with as many customer service people working there and there were many, there were long lines at the cutting area and the check out. Needed more people checking folks and less stocking shelves at peak time on Saturday.

Like Michaels and Hobby Lobby this store caters to the maker or craft wizard/wizardess in your life. I go in here for the random bit or bob that I can use for Tabletop Miniature Wargaming terrain or basing material. Places like this help me make my fantasy worlds come to life.

I go here regularly. Overall its a typical Jo-Anns. The store is clean and well-stocked. However, they could use more help at the cutting table and at the register. Get your cutting table number early and use that time to do your other shopping. Staff is polite and helpful.

On the positive side, Jo-Ann has a large selection of fabric choices. On the negative side, their prices are high, the service can be a bit slow, and the employees dont actually have any depth of knowledge surrounding the use of the products they sell.

Staff here is always very helpful and courteous. They almost always have what I meed above amd beyomd fabric needs. They have comparable prices as well and cashiers are always more than willong to help with coupons. I love visiting Joanns.

I wish this JoAnn had a better selection of basic quilting fabrics - stripes, low volume. The fabric quality at JoAnn has also gone SERIOUSLY downhill since I started quilting eight years ago.

Splendid. Great help cutting fabric. I forgot my pattern lady checked how much fabric I needed. Cashier asked if I had a coupon and I got 20 per cent off.
