I wish i could give them no stars. The worst experience I have ever had at a automotive store. I went in and immediately the service staff completely ignored me so they could chat amongst themselves. Finally after telling me to wait (five minutes later) they acknowledged me and I told them I wanted a check done on my battery. The staff told me he didnt want to be here and it was a stressful day. UH ok make me feel great about choosing yall. I leave and come back once again met by ignorant rude employees. They told me I need to replace my battery, i decided i did not wasnt to trust them and told them to just jump my car and id leave they said it was turning over fine and didnt need a jump and they would bring it out. They told me to wait out front they were bringing it out now. Ten minutes later after sitting in sun i go in and see Mt car in same location and employees as soon as they see me coming run for the garage. I got the manager and told her how disappointed i was and i just want my car. She said ok ill get you your car. She went in and came it and tried to sell me a freaking battery!!! She said my car was unjumpable and that it want going anywhere. Uh no it jumped an hour ago when i brought out here. I told her to push it out i had jumper cables and id get a jump. They proceeded to do so and it jumped right away and i left. I will NEVER go again our recommend to anyone. I may even go as far as dousing the word about how horrible they are. Shame on you pep boys for hiring horrible employees.

I previously had liked this store and received good service at good prices, but after my experience this past weekend, I will not be returning to this store. I brought my car in at 8am, watched them open the doors, told them exactly what was wrong. They said would have my car in the garage shortly. About an hour and a half goes by, my car is still sitting in the parking lot. I have an orthodontist appointment down the street, so I let them know I will be leaving for a little while. They say they will be getting car on right after they finish one before me. I get back, an hour later my car has still not been seen. I ask, they say 15 mins. Another hour goes by, and I am hungry. I go to check the status of the car, informed they have to go get the other manager to see whats going on, and theyve gone out for burgers. I go across the street to Applebees, surely after drinks and lunch my car should be in the shop. No. I tell them I have been waiting all day (at this point its after noon). They finally get my car on the lift, only to tell me they did not have the part. A grand total of 5 HOURS, to tell me something you could have told me at 8am. Never again.

I had went to Autozone looking for stuff to clean my car with and looking for something to help clean my engine. One of the salespeople kept pushing me to buy the most expensive brand. When I said I needed some time to think about it in the store the salesperson got upset and walked away. Annoyed at the terrible customer service I left and went to Pep Boys. Honestly the best decision I have ever made. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a salesperson, Miguel. He asked me what he could do for me and I told him what I needed. He recommended some great products and they were all reasonably priced. He even asked me how my day was going. Miguel was by far one of the best salesperson I have ever got to meet. His customer service and friendly attitude is the reason I will only go to the Pep Boys in Irving. Not only did he find me the best products to take care of my car, he even explained how to use them and demonstrated for me. Now whenever I go to Pep Boys, I know who I will be asking for, Miguel. Thanks to Pep Boys for hiring such a great and helpful employee.

We had a gas leak on the car and were planning to take it in locally but my wifes car stopped running before we could do that. The nearest place was this Pep Boys. They replaced one of the fuel pumps but we still had the gas smell. We took it back and they said they could not find it. We then took it to the dealership which they then had to replace a gasket. The smell was still there. So we took it back to the dealership a second time and they stated the fuel pump was cracked. They are not sure if Pep Boys did it or they did it. The dealership is correcting the problem at no cost to us. However, they stated you cannot replace the first fuel pump without taking off the other fuel pump. Pep Boys insisted that they had nothing to do with the second fuel pump. That they did not touch it. Now I have strong suspicions about them. I can deal with mistakes but when it seems to come to dishonesty I have real problems with that. I will stay away from Pep Boys, all locations. There are too many other choices out there.

VERY VERY disappointed with lack of communication and horrible customer service!!! I had an appointment at 10 for my brakes, well I sat for an hour before I decided to ask why my car hasnt even been looked at when my appointment was at 10, (I guess it was the manager I was talking to) & he told me that the "brake" guy doesnt even come in until 11, & should be there any minute. Ok well first off it was 15 past 11, and dont you think it wouldve been nice to inform me that the "brake guy" doesnt come in until an hour after my scheduled appointment?!? I sure wouldnt have wasted an hour of my time sitting for absolutely NO reason. And on top of that I watched one of the employees stop in the midst of working on someones car to talk on his cell phone the entire time i was waiting! And to over hear other employees say "hes over on his phone again? Whats new?" Very unprofessional. So I left and went to pep boys on forest Ln. in Dallas and as soon as I pulled up they got me in and are currently working on my car as we speak! :)

I needed a tow for my car from my house to their location (less than 2 miles) and naturally they decide the best way to do that is through some 800 number. I called to get a quote and the woman told me a price. When I arrive and want to pay, they tell me its double (should have seen it a mile away). Instead of taking care of me, they make me call the 800 number again. After a 26:53 minute phone conversation (most of it on hold for a "supervisor") I am promised that they will review my initial conversation, where the woman assured me the quote twice, and will call me back later "today." I knew that meant never but decided to give the benefit of the doubt. I was right, they never called. Going to this place was a giant waste of time and money. The experience was maddening and frustrating. Its sad to say, but even Wal-Mart employees are more professional. They couldnt fix my car anyways, so I am finding a truly local repair shop and never again dealing with Pep Boys or their Customer Disservice Center.
