Everyone hates buying a mattress, right? Was in the market for a new mattress and had read interesting statistics on organic alternatives. I stumbled on New Living during a google search, called, and yippie they were having a sale! The store is very comfortable and not intimidating (Im an eco-friendly novice). Got the 411 from Adam, one of the owners, on the mattresses and he gave me space to try out all the styles. He checked back with me frequently to see if I had questions. I was never pressured into the sale. This is unheard of for mattresses and cars! The bad news, once I decided to purchase, was that I would have to wait 10 days for the mattress to be made for me. I explained that my current mattress was killing me and he kindly offered me the floor sample (had only been on floor for 10 days). Wow! Seriously? And, I got $500 off for the Presidents Day sale, same day delivery and more discounts and free stuff. Im over the moon pleased with my purchase. Feel like I need to find more things to buy from the guys. Money well spent!!!! Great experience!

I was looking for a natural, chemical-free mattress and had a great experience with New Living in Rice Village. We originally met with Kyle, the store manager, when visiting the store, and he provided a lot of useful information and input on our options. When ordering, I made a mistake in the size of bed ordered, but New Living was fantastic in asking me what I really wanted and providing what we had originally thought we were ordering. HUGE shout out to both Kyle and Mary Beth for wonderful customer service and going above and beyond what was needed for an awesome customer experience. Highly recommend if you want to support a small, locally-owned business with great customer service!

My wife and I love New Living! The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. The Meaders brothers produce some beautiful pieces from locally harvested/reclaimed wood. We purchased a coffee table from them made of trees that were felled by hurricane Ike and always get compliments on how amazing it is. I use their Lobasol non VOC stains for any furniture I build, and we picked up organic bedding from them as well. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to support their store as long as were both around.

Great store with a very good selection of organic mattresses. Super staff--Kyle was very helpful and patient in answering all our questions and showing us different options. We had planned to shop around a bit but ended up buying our mattress without looking at any other stores. I also love the fact that this is a small, local business. Definitely worth checking out if youre looking for a new mattress.

i just purchased a new wool pillow that is so comfortable and all natural materials….no plastic type products in this one! I will soon be purchasing one of their natural latex bedding products…very informative staff….I am learning more about creating a more healthy living environment with each visit. great staff and great product.

I loved my experience at Rest & Rec!!! They were knowledgeable, warm, and patient with my many questions!! And they understood that I needed to save for the bed that I wanted. One of the best things about them was that they loved to share what they knew, but didnt push as many people in sales do!
