My husband and I visited this wine bar over a year ago and we had a fantastic time! The owners, Dwayne and Mary, were there and they opened numerous bottles of wine for us to taste that were exactly what we love. We go to California often for wine tasting and we were in the market for some new wines. We still order some of the wines that they introduced to us online. More of a date place than a big social venue. Theme is on wine flight, more for wine novice than lovers. For a wine bar set in Houston, TX , wish they are more creative on wine flight themes and offer a more diverse menu. Service is slow, on a Fri night that is not crowded. Ambiance is dim and main room stuffy. Great location but lots to improve.

I love Memorial Wine Cellar. The couple that own and run it are delightful. Indeed, the guy reminds me a little of Ira Glass. The space is cozy, unpretentious, and friendly. Although it takes a bit of effort to find, its a great place to chat with friends and enjoy delicious wines in an intimate setting.

A very nice selection of wines - for what I know of it. The manager (I presume) was very nice and helped me. I trust the wine bar is just as good - no idea on the prices though. Would definitely recommend the place if you need to make a nice present !

Great value here. Big wine selection, tasty apps -- cheese plates, charcuterie plates, a salmon spread plate -- and entertaining atmosphere. Owner Dwayne Harrison is very attentive. Will be going back soon.

Nice place to kick back and enjoy spash of wine or two. If youre hungry though, dont go after 8pm because the "kitchen" is closed. Cheese selection was good.
