I walked into the office and had a very dry and unpleasant welcoming. As soon as I told the receptionist that I didnt have my actual insurance card she literally lost interest in me and told me she needed the actual card (which I told her I was working on getting the info). She still told me well I need more than an insurance name, not to mention I have been a patient along with my other 2 family members and have never had any problems. Both ladies working the receptionist desk had no interest in helping me at all; mind you this was not an annual visit as I had a SEVERE eye infection and needed help ASAP! I decided not to argue with them and walked away - I still didnt even get a call back. Im extremely sad to leave Dr. Kim but the atmosphere and the rudeness of the staff totally changed everything. I ended up being treated at another place and they took care of my issue right away! Sad to say they lost 3 existing patients, and trust me, I am in the medical field and I know how valuable it is to retain patients.

This location is part of a small chain in Houston of 4 locations under a consortium of doctors (I believe they went into business for themselves.) My doctor (of over a decade) frequents two other locations but not this one...I used to live a block from this location, however, so I used them for ordering contacts. Other reviews were right, until recently...this location used to be horrible. Bad attitudes, never answered the phones, etc. However, theyve really turned around the past yar. Most (or all) new staff, very customer orientated, and both my gf and I got our glasses here with no problems. (Note to the Raul review...those lenses, which I also have, are not done in house, they send the frames off for those. I found that out when the 3rd party vendor didnt deliver mine on time and they tracked them down for me. Most lenses are done in house, however.)

The doctors are really nice. However, one of the staff was rude and insulted me for no reason. I go to this place as it is closer to my home. When the person(receptionist) checked my insurance and told me the fee of the visit as $69, I asked him if that was the negotiated price or not with Aetna. To that he insulted me and said " What negotiated price , do you think its a flee market?" . It was very insulting and in my opinion I did use a technical term. I have seen that person in that clinic for approximately two years now and he does not even know what I was talking about. This clearly shows how much he knows about his job and how courteous is he. The other receptionist ( sitting right next to him) who was listening to all this knew more than him and he later apologized on his colleagues behalf.

I went to this company because their prices were much lower for eyeglasses and contact lens exams. At the time they had a great deal for both exams, a pair of glasses, and a 3 month supply of contact lenses. They not only delivered, they included in their price the follow up checkups to make sure my lenses were working well. I am not only satisfied with their services and products, I have recommended them to all who ask. When I tell people what I paid, they cant believe it was such a good price and immediately want to know where I got my glasses and my contacts. They won my loyalty; they will be my family eye care office from now on.

First and last time I go to this place. It took over 1 month for my eye glasses to be ready. Every week I would call to check on the status they kept giving me the run around. Once I got a real answer they said it took long because I have astigmatism, Ive had that my whole life and other places Ive been to would take tops 2 weeks, I only tried this place because its right by my Apts . And even though I had an appointment I still had to wait over 30min. I will NEVER go back nor recommend it to anyone.

I used to be a client of Memorial Eye until I broke my glasses and needed prescription to replace the lenses on my glasses. I am at Lens Crafters right now waiting for my prescription from Memorial Eye to be faxed. They said that the doctor needs to sign the prescription before they fax it to me. Its been 3 hours and still have NOT received anything

Everyone is polite and friendly, and the doctor was great, but the front of the house cant seem to get it together. It took weeks for my contacts to come in. Cancelled appointments, ordering the wrong prescription, mixed signals from the front desk. They just need better communication, between themselves, and their patients.

My mom has not liked this place since day one (particularly because of a male who works there). I always stuck up for him, but after today I will no longer be attending Memorial Eye because of this guy. Very rude. He thinks he is above everyone.

I went in for an eye exam. After I had an appointment I still had to wait over 30 minutes to be seen. The Optometrist was very unprofessional and the selection of eye glasses was very small. I would not recommend this place to any one.

Dr Gallick is very thorough and reviews all the available options with you. She made recommendations that improved my vision (without the use of readers) by switching to a multifocal contact lens. Cant thank her enough
