I never write reviews, EVER... so when I do, I mean business. When I moved to the Fort Hood area from the East Coast a few years ago, I had been hard pressed to find a reputable tattoo shop to have more work done. I was disappointed, seeing the crappy artists people kept referring me, churning out your run of the mill garbage tattoos. I had pretty much given up hope of finding anything...until I found Terry. I found him quite by accident, just happened to be in the area and drove by the shop. With nowhere to go and time to kill, I figured what the heck-- Id check it out. SO GLAD I did. I have five tattoos done by Terry, ranging from a large thigh piece to smaller delicate work when Terry helped me turn my existing 3/4 Japanese sleeve into a full sleeve. Terry puts a great deal of effort and time into the work he puts on each and every client--- and it shows! Not only does he listen to his clients and go above and beyond to make the client happy with their new work-- he is extremely professional and an all around hella cool dude. I spent many hours sitting in Terrys chair whether it was getting hours of new ink work done, or simply getting my labret jewelry switched out. I thoroughly enjoyed the work I got from the shop and enjoyed being in an establishment filled with such courteous and professional individuals. That being said, I give him and his staff two thumbs up!

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Out of all the places Ive gotten a tattoo at, Kingpin Tattoo is by far the cleanest, most professional shop I have ever been to. Ive gotten the last 2 of my 8 tattoos here and will go nowhere else from now on. I especially love the privacy of the art rooms while getting tattooed, and the overall great vibe of the shop. Most places you have to sit in the open and EVERYONE can watch you get tattooed. Here you go into art rooms and are out of the public area which is really nice. All of the artists are nice and talented, especially mine, Manda May- when I came in to setup my appt she was attentive, extremely nice, super knowledgeable, and drew up an original design that I absolutely LOVE between my consult and my appt. She is beyond great and I get neverending compliments on my forearm sleeve. Im already researching my next tattoo idea to get here and highly recommend this shop to everyone-they will take care of you and make you sure are comfortable and receive the best artwork and experience ever! Whether you are a first timer or already have tattoos this is the shop to go to :) my friend traveled from North Carolina to get her artwork done here and another got a piercing while I was getting my work done and we are all extremely satisfied

I went in to get a very small tattoo (no bigger than a quarter size). The staff was very rude. They all treated me as if I didnt know what I was talking about because they couldnt see that I had other tattoos and knew how the process SHOULD have gone. They did not open the sanitary seal with the needle in front of me. They did it all in the back. Also, the guy tattooing me was very rude and kept telling me "smaller wont look better" and making it seem like such a hassle to change the placement of the template when its MY body and MY tattoo for the rest of my life. Then when he actually tattooed me, he was very rough and put his whole hand over my face to hold down while he tattooed me. And at the beginning I said "I dont think it will hurt that bad haha" and he grabbed my face and pushed it hard down to the side without saying a word to me to tattoo the area. Very rough, rude and completely unprofessional. I did not like this experience at all and will never be going back. They also over charged me way too much for a small, simple, all black tattoo. Horrible service, and worst attitudes. They did not make me feel comfortable at all, especially since he did not open the needle in front of me.

I got 2 years there bk in 2003 full color one on my bk and one on each foot none of them have faded or bled or and left white spots the look like I got the a year or maybe 2 ago they are awesome and if I could just find out if Ian Im pretty sure that was his name is still working there I would drive the 6 hours to let him do a couple more because I gave him a general idea of what I wanted and let him do the creative work that I still love till this day and always will but like I sd that was in 2003 when I was in the army so its been a while and prob a fat chance of finding an artist like him that I would trust to put some more ink on me

This shop is clean, professional, and affordable. Terry Martin is my guy. He has done 7 tattoos for me and I trust no one else. His talent is matched only by his professionalism and knowledge. He can take your ideas and spin it into a tat better than you had ever imagined. He has also done my nose and tragus piercings as well as my daughters eyebrow piercing. Believe me, I dont trust just anyone. I have been very impressed with the friendly, helpful staff and atmosphere at Kingpin, too. If youre new to town or just looking for a new place with the best quality, then look no further.

I walked in and had a good, sarcasm-filled conversation with the gentleman at the counter, which helped put me at ease being in an unfamiliar shop. I was offered fast assistance, met with a fair price for the piercings I wanted, and the paperwork process took less than two minutes. Leslie, the piercer, was very sweet to me and helped relax me, considering how apprehensive I was. She did the entire set of piercings very quickly and was very confident, which is what I want in someone whos stabbing thick needles through me. :D All in all, Ive had an awesome experience here!! *****

Immaculate and professional studio. The staff is very friendly and experienced. Our go-to person for tattoos is Manda May. The first time we went into the studio was for my wife; Manda has always been able to turn our descriptions and ideas into masterpieces. We couldnt be happier, since then my wife has gotten a total of seven tattoos with her, all full color and well detailed. She also freehanded my full sleeves tribal. Manda May been tattooing for over 15 years and will recommend her to anyone.

SPANKY IS INAPPROPRIATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, i paid for my belly piercing in june 2011 and had all types of problems, he told me just use dial soap to clean it, he didnt tell me what exactly i needed to do to keep it clean and now i have to let it close and get it re done. then i went back to get a monroe and that too gave me problems just days after having it done. i had to go to another shop for help. they are way to expensive and rough i will never go back
