**This review is based on the clothing section of Frisco Resale.** I am on an ongoing hunt to find the best thrift store in Collin County. If you are on a similar journey purely for a good furniture thrift, you will find "the one" in Frisco Resale. Their selection and prices for used furniture are fantastic. However, if youre looking for a good source of thrifted clothing, the journey continues. The selection of clothes is limited to a small square of the store. In addition, there are no changing/dressing rooms: a trend which seems to be strangely endemic to Texan thrift stores, but is a negative in my book. Trying on a pair of pants behind a rack to see if they fit while furiously hoping someone wont walk by to see your rear is not an ideal situation. It may be a thrift store, but a "no returns" policy for someone with my hips means trying on clothes beforehand is essential! The items I did find were clean, well organized by size and at prices competitive with other thrift stores in the area. The staff I interacted with were polite, friendly, helpful, and swift. If they managed to get some kind of dressing room, Id increase the rating to five stars.

Just Bad, Real Bad: I took a cool distressed painted table in to donate rater than sell - got it part way off the truck at F. Resale, a young guy pipes up and says we dont take painted tables - I said "really, cool, chalk painted distressed?" - he went to get the manager and she came out guns blazing like I was some degenerate ready to argue ballistically, "look here, this little piece is missing, this, this and this" and stormed off . . . like no "hello", no "thanks for bringing this in, but its not our policy take take painted tables" - just left me feeling a total moron for even thinking they would take such a crap piece! Customer niceties? None! I think the young guys who greet the cars / donators out the back were embarrassed by her. We have (had) chosen Frisco Resale as our local church mission to give vast (and I mean VAST) amounts of stuff to from our congregation households - Well thats over from this point! Up until now, over a ten plus year period we have had a GREAT experience with F R - and not everything we have donated has been accepted - but there is a way of saying no and that wasnt it! Wow!

The staff was pleasant and friendly. The clothing selection was a bit smaller than I anticipated for a thrift store. Things were a bit higher priced than I would normally see in a thrift store as well, but the items did seem to be higher quality. The furniture available was great looking quality and pretty reasonably priced. The main reason for 2 stars is that there is no dressing room! Even if I know my size, clothing fits so differently between each brand. The sales associate suggested I try things on over my clothes while shopping. Not a great solution. Also no returns allowed when I cant even try on the clothes? I wont be returning.

I used to love this place before the renovation. Now it seems they feel like they should get new prices for used stuff. Seriously, they had a couch for sale for $1000 - a used couch! Also I always donated stuff and last time I went they told me they wouldnt take some of the stuff like a shower chair... What? The whole point is that you get my stuff to sell, but you take it off my hands. I am not going to be donating to a store where they are picky about my donations. Going to The Colony Resale from now on….

Im not sure if this place has turned from a non profit to a business or whats going on. There prices are way to high, also they no longer negotiate on there prices. You are randomly making up prices in the back then you wont negotiate to make a deal? Your inventory cost you nothing, why not negotiate with a customer or come down at all. All in all, this place gives the real feel, they are out to make money.

While I have to admit they have a good selection, I wont be wasting my time shopping there. I never buy clothes without trying them on first and they dont have a dressing room and they wont let you use the bathroom to try things on. If they had a return policy I would take them home and try them on but they dont have one. Like I said, I wont waste my time and money.

Frisco Resale has clothes, electronics, nic-knacks furniture, pictures, paintings, general household items that are gently used. Sales benefit Frisco Family Services that help people in the community.

Like all resale shops it is hit-or-miss with what they have. I still love coming here because you never know what you are going to find. If you do find something it is always ridiculously inexpensive.

There is more to Frisco Resale than the thrift store. They also have a food pantry for those in need. The employees are kind and helpful. They do not take donations on Wednesdays.

The people who run it are very nice, but who ever does the pricing is out of contact with the real world. Most items are WAY over priced.

The staff here are always pleasant and efficient. It couldnt be easier to drop off donations with the manned, covered receiving area.

Way,way, way over priced. Greedy folks. I will not be donating or shopping there again. They think their a high end antique store.
