We went here to buy a washer and dryer, but did not end up purchasing. The store is very bare, as many have mentioned, but no different than a typical appliance outlet/scratch and dent type of place. Not much assistance but when we asked for help a gentleman told us that the items have their full manufacturers warranty. When we picked out a washer and dryer we were told no returns. If it doesnt fit the space or we just dont like it, we cant return it. My wife asked to verify that if it arrived DOA, it would be returnable and we were told by the female associate that yes, it would be, within 14 days. My wife then said "and if it breaks after the 14 days I call the manufacturer since it still has a warranty, right?" The lady replied No, that the manufacturer does not have to honor the warranty because the item had been owned before. We pointed out that someone else had told us differently earlier and she just shrugged, didnt seem to care. She got the assistant manager who plopped down the warranty text in the manual and pointed out where it says "warranty applies only to original owner". She said they can choose to honor the warranty or they can choose not to. That is too big a risk to take for us, so we went elsewhere, especially since brand new through the best buy website they were selling for only $90 more. While we were there a family member found a laptop he wanted, but declined to purchase as well, out of concern about the warranty. He went next door to the main store with new items and found it for $15 CHEAPER on sale there. Yes, their prices are good when compared to full MSRP, but dont assume that is the actual price it is being sold at in the "brand new" stores. With sales at the "new" stores and the fact that you pay for delivery from the outlet instead of free like it often is at the "new" locations, you may not save nearly as much as you expect. And, no matter what they tell you, the manufacturer may choose not to honor the warranty. Next door at the regular Best Buy we were told that happens all the time, that customers come over after finding out the warranty isnt valid.

Meh, most of the people there are nice... Sometimes people put their heads down to avoid eye contact with me. I see that the place has gone under a lot of new management so its fair that people are just now getting settled. However, the customer service over in the Computers & Tablets department is exceptional! They dont try to shove overpriced merchandise down my throat or anything like that. However, the lady at Geek Squad was a little mean when I went to go check on the status of my phone. It wasnt there, however it would have been much better if I didnt get such a nasty attitude. To work at Geek Squad, you need to have a deep understanding of technology. However, the understanding the basic principles of human interactions should be another requirement. I hope that she was just having a bad day. Because I would like to use their services again. Ill drive the extra 4 miles to go to MicroCenter after I get my phone back. EDIT: I came into the store again to check on the status of my phone. And it still wasnt there, and thats perfectly fine. Its just the lack of professionalism I experienced when I was being "helped". The Geek Squad Agent was in the middle of a conversation with his co-worker that was completely not work related. So I just sat their awkwardly when he punched some things into the computer and he went back and told me that my phone didnt arrive. Heres some food for thought: When people come into your store and dish out a lot of money for various electronics, you would expect the people to act with a little bit more professionalism. Not having a phone is a serious deal for some people and its disheartening to see the employees treating it like its some sort of joke. Im all about being friends with your co-workers, in fact I prefer you to be friends with them. But when its time to work, its time to work. But I guess thats what happens when most of the people working there are kids.

3/3 people I talked to in the computer department did the know a graphics card when they saw one, but then again the tower hardware was shoved into a ladder littered corner with the power supplies on an unkept shelf. The first guy hemmed and hawed and finally admitted sheepishly he didnt know nothin bout computers, and he was just helping a guy to the department, I commended him for being upfront and waited for one of the associates from the department. One lady thought I was holding a power supply, and the other thought it was a fan. . . soooooo I just asked what the return policy was and bought the thing since I had already looked up the benchmarks. Thank you smartphone. The department was mostly laptops and pads now, such a change, and there was one person in the department I didnt get to talk to because he was dealing with some poor lady who didnt know squat about computers but was willing to ask all the questions needed before laying down the card. I cant fault that. If someone there had known the ancient arts of upgrades, perhaps they could have upsold me a 500 watt power supply? Oh well. I probably should have just gone to Frys- I think I will. . . for that power supply.

There seems to be a variety of garbage reviews about this place with little to no sustenance behind them, so Ill help out. This is an outlet, that deals with major appliances, TVs, and laptops. That being said, Ive heard of very few outlets that actually accept returns on anything, even the ones in the Allen Outlet strip. So yes, all sales are final here, but theyve explicitly mentioned that returns/exchanges are possible within 2 weeks of purchase, IF the item is malfunctioning or defective within that time. The deals are incredible for appliances, and while some have seen better days with the scratch and dent thing, theyve got rotating stock weekly. If you dont find something you like, then thats obviously on you, not them. As for customer service, theyre noticeably understaffed during the busier hours of the weekends. Dont go walking in thinking youre gonna be spoiled by 2-3 associates greeting you at once. Do I work at Best Buy? Nah, but Ive worked retail and I know what its like. The place overall is great, but the one nag I really have is lack of a welcoming environment given how it looks more like a warehouse.

Go to a different store. The little, bearded, bespectacled manger in charge of returns wouldnt let me have a price match on the 15th day-supposed to be 14 days.... but the product on the 14th day was cheaper and should have been matched. Was rude, (I was curteous) and said, "That gives you an extra week..." Uh, no it doesnt. I went to another store and had no problem returning. On another day, I was waiting to buy tv, and the kid couldnt figure out how to go through sales process... and while checking me out, he would left and helped out ghetto women, who WERE not even buying anything... couldnt they see I was in the middle of getting checked out. The black kid went and helped them. I got a manager to ask where he went... the kid was gone for 15 minutes while I was sitting there with my tv, being rung up. WOW. GO to addison or irving store.
