I purchased a bunch of stuff including 2 bottles of wine. I recently renewed my driver license so I used my EAD card to show the birthdate. The cashier apparently didnt see this kind of ID before, called someone, and that person was confused as well. I offered to point out the DOB shown on the card or use my paper driver license, but that person walking around all the counters holding my card flashing all my private information to at least 4-5 people, totally ignoring my words, and the cashier looked at me and said "its out of my hand". So I had to stand at the counter for 5 minutes enduring this embarassing moment and watching this "supervisor" jumping around like she found a new world. After her performance, finally, conscious comes back to her and she asked me what is my DOB, I told her, and she handed back the card to the cashier and I pointed out where is the date shown on the card. This whole drama should have been avoided by simply listening to me or just looking at the card. I have always been enjoying central market, but this is ridiculous.

just came from this central market earlier this evening after buying a few things for dinner from the prepared food counter. I had expected the same quality I usually experienced at the Lovers and Greenville Ave. store and was sadly surprised. The hatch cheese quesadillas I bought should have been called Onion quesadillas with a little cheese and a bit of hatch. They were inedible! They were a boiled onion sandwich with a little cheese and a few crumbs of hatch! the onions were voluminous and Im not kidding!! The public should be warned!!! Also, the hatch cheese baked potato was very strange tasting, also inedible. Ive had both at the Lovers store and they are delicious! What is up with the chef at this store? Does anyone actually try the food before it is sold? Caveat emptor!

As the adage goes--you get what you pay for. I have found the same to be true at Central Market. While shoppers may pay a little bit more for their purchase, they can rest assured that the quality of the products they buy and service they receive are nothing short of the very best. The staff at the Central Market (Preston Rd. location) are exceptional and always willing to help. I was recently astounded by the incredible service of the seafood department in particular, whose knowledge about their produce and willingness to assist my wife and I was unparalleled. In an age where customer service is too often an afterthought--Central Market has made moves to make a positive customer experience its primary goal. For this reason we will continue to give this grocery store our business.

I like central market and the freshness of the food, but this store is a bit small. I look for things and when I cant find them, I am told, that they dont carry that at this location, but that I could get it at the Lovers Lane location instead. Thats a bit irritating. But, I really like the way they feature food from different countries, like when they did "Passport France." and I like the way that Central Market as a whole makes food and cooking interesting, like they make it popular and fun to be a "foodie" or to enjoy cuisine. they really have taken the grocery store concept to a whole new level.

Very modern, beautiful building close to the Highland Park area of Dallas. You get that personal Market feeling that is always friendly, welcoming and intimate. Its the warm feeling you get when invited into someones home as a guest, the staff pay extra attention to you. The size of the store caters to select people in the local neighborhood as well as occasional first-time guests and visitors. Selection of food is top of the line, as fresh as you can get, and lower in price than competitor specialty food stores. Overall an amazing and delicious experience!

Its like a wonderland of groceries in this place. Theres a very old movie called "Somewhere In Dreamland" where these two children who are growing up during the great depression go to bed hungry one night. They both end up in this beautiful dreamworld full of glorious food where they find every scrumptious snack they could possibly desire. They end up eating and eating to their hearts content and you feel a sense of heavenly relief within a drought of famine. Thats how I feel when I enter this store. Its wondrous.

The white males in the meat department and deli department are rude and racists at this location. And dont bother trying to let HEB/Central Market know, the manager will send you an e-mail defending them (go figure)...Everyone else in the store are really good people, they speak, treat you like human beings, and converse with you making you feel welcomed...the jackasses behind the counter and manager are a company liability, too bad no one sees it as a problem (yet)...Jackasses!

An excellent Central Market! Although this store is smaller than most of their locations, HEB has managed to fit the same level of amenities into a great neighborhood-oriented store. Service is excellent, and once inside it feels much less competitive than the Lovers Lane location. Also, while here, be sure to look up and notice the amazing architecture of this place, particularly the wood beams left over from a Safeway which previously operated at this location!

Must have gone on a bad day, becuase contrary to many reviews I found the service here to be poor, and in some case downright rude (the older gentleman behind the meat counter, and the woman behind the ready-made deli area in particular). This CM location feels about the same size as the location in Plano, and the produce section feels a bit tighter than all the other Dallas area locations. If you can go to another Central Market location, do it.

The place used to be really really attentive to all of their customers and just lately its really gone down in the way of service. Most of the people who even ask if they can help you seem super put out and bothered. This used to be my favorite Central Market and I actually would drive from Oak Lawn to this location because it was so awesome, but will be reconsidering that if the next time I go I have the same experience.

I love this little store. Central Market is my preferred "natural" grocer and the giant ones are anxiety inducing. This one is an easy in and out, unless its rush hour and the checkout lanes are overwhelmed with far too many people in a little space. So go here but try to avoid the after work rush!

Love having this central market so close by right here. Love having the selection. Its not as big as the one on Lovers but their selection is carefully calibrated to have most everything I usually buy there. Good combination of neighborhood location and selection.

This central market is huge! One of my favorite grocery stores due to their huge selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafood. All excellent quality and freshness. You can also find a variety of wines and coffees here as well. Think Whole Foods but bigger
