Their fish section is full of dishonest people. I ordered 4 live tilapias and the guy picked them up from the water tank. But he dumped those 4 with 10 other dead fishes in a container and started punching the dead fishes instead of live ones that I orderd. As I was clearly watching all this I signaled other worker to see what he is doing. And just as I thought leaving the 4 live ones the dead 4 fishes were picked up from the container and were showed to me as if I did not notice anything. So I told him to give me those live 4 , not the dead ones. Now since he realized I noticed all he brought another container and pulled off all 10 dead fishes from the main container and kept them behind the cutting shade leaving 4 and clarified with me whether those 4 I want. Then he took those 4 behind the shades and started cutting. I am pretty sure he then picked 4 dead ones from the other container and gave me those where clearly the 4 live ones were not even stuck with the hammer and moving and it is not easy to cut the live fishes without any struggle. Their manager have been notified. But if this happens again not only this tall old asian guy with white hair will be in trouble.

I went to this place once and I fell in love. I love fruits and if you want ripe, exotic fruits like jackfruit, lychees, durian, and rambutan, this is the place to go. The halls are fragrant with ripe fruit for 1/3 less than what you can find at walmart. No hard peaches in sight! They have butchers working in the back and freshly-packaged, bright red meat cuts in a refrigerated section. All types of seafood are sold here, live or on ice, including lobster tail. There are large fish tanks with LIVE fish such as catfish and tilapia that you can select. They will cut and clean your fish for you. Besides selling the obvious noodles, spices and sauces, they also have mini-stores full of gifts, vases, tupperware, and traditional medicinal herbs. This is a more of a self-serving store, with the most costumer service at the butchers in the back. Read the signs and explore and you should be fine. As a white person, I felt very out of place at this market and tried to keep to myself, but I still loved what I saw and intend to go back.

This review is actually for the little cosmetics shop inside the market. I was highly disappointed in the service I received there. I went there hoping to get a good recommendation for BB cream and the girl asked me what my skin type was and I told her it was combination/oily but either she had no idea what to sell me or she was only interested in taking me for the maximum dollar(or both). Because she sold me a 40 dollar BB cream(the most expensive in the store, I think) that is actually meant for dry skin. I got home and looked it up online and found out the the black label stuff she sold me is meant for dry skin and even if she liked the brand she should have sold me the silver label which was for oily skin. But, perhaps she didnt want to because the silver label is 10 dollars cheaper. I hope squeezing me for that extra 10 dollars was worth it because I wont be returning there to purchase a replacement.

The service I received at the register was terrible during check out. While putting items on the counter, a dish fell and broke because the lid came off. In other words a cheap product that the store manager sent security to direct me to pay for. I demonstrated the product was defective on the spot yet I was told by security that the manager was frustrated and refuse to speak with me. I had plan to purchase grocery until the checkout clerk directed security follow my son while he was only going to replace the breaken dish. When I asked her if she was having my son followed, she lied about pointing him out right in front of me. Up until that point she acted as if she could not speak English. My son and I were treated shameful and hateful. I came to that store to get something for my husband who been in a wreck to get treated like a criminal.

Those of you who shop for exotic foods, i.e. live animals, as if abusing and exploiting "common" eaten foods such as cow, lamb and chickens isnt enough, your perverse needs to exploit other species of animals,is seriuosly sick, compassionately bankrupt, and frankly disgusting as a being that would eat sentient beings, thats whether you think they are, the truth is that they know and show emotions and know when they are going to be killed. These kinds of businesses should be shut down immediately. Live animals cramped in painful environments waiting to be slaughtered??!! Compassion and empathy for not just humans but also for all of Gods creatures he surely did not intend for us to treat in this manner!

I normally come here only with Asian friends. The place is okay but every time its a headache. The parking lot is full of people who cant park or pull out of their space. Once inside its packed with shoppers getting their items. The selection is great with many varieties of Asian food and vegetables. Also dont think youll be awkward, this isnt just for Asians, I see people of many cultures in the store. They have some good specials and overall okay. The last obstacle is the checkout. Always packed and make sure you keep an eye out on your receipt, sometimes the price is incorrect or they accidentally scan an extra item. Its happened to me every time Ive gone but theyre quick to resolve it.

Great place to shop for Asian foods. They have everything there. If youre squeamish about seeing live frogs and eels in buckets then this isnt the place for you. Im not, so its perfect! Prices are low and produce is abundant! Go...you will see. Never had a bad experience there, but be prepared, because they are always crowded! There is also a small service restaurant to order food. Large frozen section also with plenty of stuff to add to your freezer. Dumplings, seafood, chickens, meats..many things. Its just fun exploring the place. Sometimes I go there and spend hours looking around.

It was well managed while the name was Asia World supermarket. After the name was changed to Jusgo supermarket and so did management, the store is now poorly managed. After the management changed, I worked there for a few months and have seen customers being yelled at by the manager and the boss himself, and also a customer left the store still mad and screaming. They told the employees to be nice and courteous while they did the complete opposite is just wrong!

PETA fields regular complaints from caring consumers who are sickened by the hellish conditions endured by the countless fragile exotic animals sold live for human consumption at food markets across the United States. After receiving multiple reports alleging severe crowding of live animals in tanks at Jusgo Supermarket locations in Houston and Plano, Texas, we contacted company officials directly, urging them to make improvements

This Asian market has such fun items for creating great dishes - Asian or otherwise. They have a variety of items that are harder or are not available at other mainstream markets. Because of its primary customer base many items are less expensive and of equal quality for example boc choy and tofu. Of course others are more expensive so it pays to be watchful. If you are adventuresome, there are lots of things to try.
