TEACHERS UNITE AND BOYCOTT GOODWILL I am a teacher for a Title 1 elementary school so I am always shopping at Goodwill for deals in and out of my classroom. I also donate items on a regular basis. Today I stopped in on my way back from visiting family in Fort Worth. I had previously stopped at the Goodwill in Willis and had an unpleasant experience when the cashier refused to give me the teacher discount because I last years ID. Now normally I wouldnt be upset over except that the cashier is aware via my spouse that I am a current teacher. On my way into Conroe, I pulled out the CD I had bought to listen to the rest of the way home. I had looked at several CDs and mistakenly bought the wrong one. Since I was near the Conroe Goodwill, I stopped in there to exchange the CD for something else. The cashier called for the manager to do the exchange. He REFUSED to exchange the $1.99 CD. He said it was "because it was bought in Willis." I attempted to explain that I was just passing through Willis and would not be anywhere near there any time soon to exchange it before the 7 days clearly stated o n the receipt. Again the MANAGER (the person who has the capability to override the policy) just quoted policy and DISMISSED me. Yes, I mean he walked away while I was still talking. I spend at least $100 a month in that store and that is how I was treated! EVERYTHING in that store is free inventory DONATED BY YOU AND ME! Millions of dollars are made AFTER employees are paid minimum wage AND AFTER other expenses! Yet, I cant exchange a $1.99 CD AND Im treated like dirt!!! Think twice about where you want to spend your money because there are plenty of Mom and Pop resale shops in and around the area and thats where I will be spending my VERY HARD earned money!

Let me start by saying that I wish Goodwill did more with the money make from their donations & that is the main reason that I didnt give this store a higher mark. I shop here though because we live on a tight budget & I can often find deals on things we want or need or things to resell. (some outright & some I upcycle.) If it wasnt for resale stores & yard sales I wouldnt be able to continue to stay home & homeschool my son. Another reason I didnt give it 4 stars is that I have seen things marked close to or even higher than retail from time to time. Like tonight. There was a package that was marked for sale & .99 cents & the price printed on the packaging from the store was .49 cents. When I laughed & pointed it out to a worker instead of saying that they should mark it down she said "They should have crossed out the store price." Um, no they shouldnt. They should mark the item down. That said I do get a lot of good deals here & the employees are almost all very helpful & super nice. They always have a smile for us & if I ask about something special that I am looking for they will try to help me find it. I mostly stick to shopping the sales because on the items that I make from used items, I have to keep my costs down. They have a color of the week plus several days where certain people get a discount. Teachers & seniors come to mind. Wish I could get that Teachers discount as a homeschool parent. Id be there even more often.

Very poor selection of mens clothes. Some of the shirts smelled like they were taken out of the trash and hung up on the rack. Clothes had holes or tears in them. There are almost NO name brand items here, even though its a "select" store. There were no mens clothes less than $5.99. Old Navy has brand new clearance stuff for that or less. This is probably the worst Goodwill Ive been in.

The parking lot was remodeled but its design does not help that much for easy traffic flow, the jogging path needs to be repaired in some areas, and there is a big area that need intense love or repurposing right in between the tennis court and the play areas. The pavilions were not enough sitting around them for when i had my parties.

Goodwill robbed me. I bought 3 pieces of furniture. In only 2 days I couldnt get help to pick up my furniture. No refund. No store credit but instead the manager said I am screwed and Goodwill is sell these items again. This was unethical. I am very upset.

A bit more disorganized than other stores, large facility but smaller selection of non-clothes items, not as friendly as other locations ....gave 3 stars because of quality of clothes items found, NOT due to service, store layout or variety.

I picked up new Joseph A Banks mens dress slacks tagged @ $149.00 for their standard price for pants ( $5.99 or $8.99 ) along with a bunch others. You have to be diligent in going by - the early bird catches the worm :)

Honestly this is a great store Ive gotten a lot of really nice shirts and pants here at a great price I do have to say they could improve on the selection of mens clothing other wise great place to shop

I love going to look around, but I hate not knowing the prices of stuff until I get to the register since on some items they simply use Sharpie marks. But overall its a good store.
