I had an excellent experience with Half Price Books up until today. I sat down to watch my favorite movie, opened the dvd and the WRONG movie was in there!! I called them to see if they could check to see if they had it and they told me that I would have to come in. So I drove TWENTY minutes to the store to have them tell me they didnt have the movie and there was nothing they could do because I took the sticker off and I threw away the receipt. I understand return policy but now I am stuck with TWO of the same movies!!! I felt like they really didnt care they they had made a mistake.

I shop plenty of half price books for their clearance sections have always been $3 and below with some having a "super buys" or "better books" sections or carts that go to $5. But this location scatters in a bunch of books in their "Clearance" section priced $4,$5,$6. That kept me from buying about 6 books that I would have bought in the $2-$3 range. I hope the extra couple dollars is worth the loss of sales HPB....

I called in about a book to see if they had it before I went. I gave them the title, edition and author and they said they had it. I get there and find out it was not the right book. They reserved a 1st edition when I needed a 2nd. The price between the books was major so I did not buy. I needed the book urgently and wasted my time going and calling.

I just love half price books. You can always find a great deal and the buy back program is wonderful. Every time I sell back books, I always have enough for books and lunch. This was the first time Ive been to this location. It was as awesome as the rest Ive been through out the DFW Metroplex. I found an old copy of Gone With the Wind.

Always a pleasure to go to half price books, this one lacks some customer service, I saw 3 employees standing the turn in counter while one employee struggled and called for assistance multiple times at the sales counter.
