I do love browsing at Half Price Books, and love to check out the retro video games they sometimes have in stock. Once saw a boxed Atari 7800 prosystem that I almost pulled the trigger on, but didnt. The prices are crazy inconsistent, though. Some books are priced right, but the things deemed collectibles like the LPs and video games can sometimes be crazy. For instance, Super Mario 3 for NES priced at $29.99. Should be around $18 tops. Still, it is a good place to browse around and get lost in. The staff is helpful as well and will check to see if an item is in stock when you call on the phone. The price variations just keep it from being 5 star.

I love this Half Price Books. It has such a great atmosphere, cheap prices, and some pretty popular products. I particularly love the young adult/teen novels, and they are always well stocked. Its better if you go without too specific of a book(s) in mind though. Nice staff too! Hint: check out the Clearance section, theyll sometimes put popular books there that are also listed at a couple bucks more elsewhere in the store.

Rude workers . I thought I was invisible . They probably have decent priced books , but their customer service SUCKS ! Several workers just looked at me without saying anything . Ill just go to Barnes & Noble where I feel appreciated and where they actually ACKNOWLEDGE their customers . Could be because Im black , maybe ? Oh well . Wont be going back .

Great books for cheap. Buy and sell. Best place ever but I am a book nerd. The have LPs too. Tons of them and comics. Computer games and all kinds of stuff to help little ones learn. My favorite part is the classic or rare book collection. I love looking at them and dreaming of my own library one day.

Picked up a few books on home repair and tiny houses and design which I love. My wife and I try to stop by on occasion and Half Price is the place when you dont need to invest $50, but maybe $20 for the same book used. Great Selection over all.

Awesome selection of books and comics, they even sell signed items (bands,singers), retro consoles and other limited edition collectibles. The only problem is the workers with their attitudes. I was really mad.

It was hard to find in the large multiple-strip mall, although there was a big sign at the mall entrance. The store is at the very back of the mall. Selection looked typical for a HPB store.

I love to buy books here.....but selling books no....took 30 books in and got a whole $5.00. Not sure how they judge buying books, but I know they were worth more than .20cents.

Good prices but never have what im looking for. If I do find what I want, it is usually in really poor condition! Rather pay full price and have it in pristine condition.

HPB is simply the best place to rediscover great works. The Frisco location has a decent Scifi section in both soft and hardcover, and is always being replenished.
