I was so excited when I saw their "coming soon" sign the first time! A Books Kinokuniya right here in the Dallas area! And its entirely lived up to my expectations. Theyre by far the best (and only?) place to get Japanese books, with great selections of the classics as well as contemporary Japanese literature. Theyve also got English books (and bilingual ones) on a huge variety of interesting topics--Im certain anyone could find something interesting to look through here. Besides books, it has very cute stationary and miscellaneous items of all sorts--probably a great place to find gifts. My only gripe would be how overpriced all the childrens books seem to be in comparison to the paperbacks section.

I was overjoyed to learn not one but TWO of these awesome stores were moving into the metro. Ive already been to the Carrollton location multiple times and spent at least 2 hours there each visit. A great selection of "hot" anime merch, a wall of English Manga and almost as many Japanese tankabons as well. Artbooks, magazines, books, language guides, art supplies, cute stationary, bags, rugs and knick knacks - there really is so much to see in this one store.

Great store for some manga and Japanese books in English and Japanese. Some cool trinkets too. They have quite a few anime figures too, but not cheap. I guess because they import them, they doubled the price on a lot of things. But the only Japanese book store around, so they have the market right now. They have a book club, to get some discounts.

Top notch selection of manga and otaku culture items! Asian novels and games. Always kind of crowded, but only because they have the best stuff! They also carry calligraphy sets and inks, as well as white gel pens! Staff are friendly and fast. Theres something here for everyone, from the newbie nerd to the veteran weebs! Fun place to be

This store is intense! It is like being in a anime convention. The time we went, they had well known voice actors laid out giving autographs and talking to the customers. I highly recommend checking this one out of you like Japanese/South Korean culture and Nintendo/Studio Ghibli

If you are looking for some unique Japanese art supplies... this is where its at! They have soo many cool supplies, books, anime, manga and trinkets to look at. This would be beneficial for local artists/students so help this place out!

Full of cool figurines and neat stuff. Lots of manga. Good selection of murakami books. If you get dragged along and arent into the whole Japan thing check out the atlas Obscura.

Amazing book store for people who love Japanese books and art.They even have a arts and crafts sections with a bunch of notebooks and cool pens.Such a great store to go to.
