I have purchased one pistol from here and had to send it back for repair within 150 rounds. They said it would be one day shipped the next day, it took them a month to send it. I just tried to go buy my second pistol from them yesterday and the background check has been delayed. They didnt call the people like they were suppose to so they could find out why. Come to find out almost everyone buying a pistol from here has been having a delayed background check. Im still waiting on my first pistol to come back in. They have children running the gun counter, had to ask if they had a certain pistol in stock because they didnt have it on display and they did. They are very unorganized, my friend couldnt even find a pair of shoes yesterday at all that were his size or they werent in the right spot. After I pass this background check and buy this pistol and receive my first one back from repair I will be going through the Baybrook Academy, never had a problem there. Also this Academy will not sell you display models if they are out of the certain pistol you want, but Baybrook Academy will sell you the display if they dont have it in stock..

We went in to get a gun. We picked up an ammo box as well. The associate walked us to the counter and a guy that was stocking said he would check us out. He rang up the gun which was not the correct price so he had to call the manager from the gun counter over to fix that. Then he rang the ammo box up and it wasnt the correct price. I told him and the guy holding the gun that there was a sale price on them. The guy holding our gun said maybe it was in the wrong place, but no one wanted to go check. My husband went to go check and the guy Rudy checking us out said "I have stuff to do before she leaves at 7 pointing at the girl at the next register.. I said excuse me. He said oh I was thinking out loud but I have things to do so I need to hurry. He was mad that my husband had to go do a price check because no one else wanted to do it. My husband came back and the whole shelf was on sale he took a picture. Rudy then proceeded with an attitude and said its whatever Im giving it for the discounted price. It was a bad experience with customer service. Rudy and the guy that brought the gun up are not cut out for customer service. Thanks!

Im very annoyed!! I went in excited to but a workout machine that was over 600 dollars... literally got the paper in the mail, saw the offer, got in my car to go purchase the machine... I get there I see it and my dad goes to get someone to help us.. they told him someone would be right with us, so of course we waited, 5 minutes go by and nothing.... 10 minutes... 15!!! and I finally looked and realized most of the workers were just standing around talking to eachother or starting into space!! My dad started walking towards them to ask them for help once again but I told him to forget it!! This place is ridiculous And unprofessional I will be taking my business somewhere else!!

My husband and I have made a few purchases at Academy, some were petty items and others were big item transactions. The employees that assisted us in loading the heavy items into our vehicle were prompt, patient and courteous. Our most recent purchase was a big item, we were almost done with the assembly but we noticed a part was damaged. I called the Baytown Academy store with hope of exchanging the damaged part, the manager Randy was very helpful and even arranged an exchange at different store that had the item in stock! Great store, AMAZING customer service.

Over staffed with employees that cant tell you where anything is. I was told by 3 different employees that yes they do carry drones and several different ones but no they didnt know what department they were in. If you know what youre looking for and you know where to find it, its great. Dont rely on the employee to know where it is or to make an effort to find out.

The store has changed its layout and has gotten rid of the boxing kickboxing & mixed martial arts selection that they used to have and put in a bigger baseball section to me this is catering more to individual sports isms and team big Sports over individually working out overall rating as a four it was a five but they have lost the star

They could sometimes use a few more sales associates in the floor or at the firearms counter and the clothing area is packed to the point of making it difficult to walk through with a cart. However, they always have plenty of cashiers up front and the selection is great.
