DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES HERE. UPDATE: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUST AS INCOMPETENT. We bought a washer/dryer here about a month ago. Delivery and installation went fine. However the washer began to shake violently and leak water on the very first run. We reported the issue to the Home Depot, who assured us that the issue would be resolved quickly (after all, we sprung for the $200 extended protection plan). Fast forward 10 days, we call back to discover our ticket was never submitted. Finally our replacement arrives. We go to run the first load, and while the shaking is gone, the washer now does not drain. So here we are, $2700 and 3.5 weeks later, and still cant do laundry. We got in contact with a regional manager a few days ago, and explained the situation. He informed us that a replacement will be arriving some time in the next 7 days (no firm date as of this writing). I suppose I am expected to take a third day off work to resolve this (fool me once?). Went in to the physical store location this morning to see if I could find a sympathetic store manager. The woman who presented herself as a store manager made it immediately apparent that she could care less. Before I even opened my mouth she had an air of annoyance that I would bring this to her. She informed me that because it was Sunday there was very little she could do except leave a "note in the system" for someone else to handle later. I have never felt more abandoned as a customer making what was (for me) a large purchase. Still waiting for someone to call me back. Honestly at this point I just want them to come pick up their paperweights and refund me my money. I was willing to do this dance a third time with them, but my in store experience this morning has pushed me to the point of just wanting to cut my losses and go to Lowes (and you should too!) Long story short: save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for any sort of serious purchase. They can handle drill bits and wrenches fine, but completely fall apart when trying to deliver anything bigger. Call customer service and they said that I could only talk to the store about this, which is unfair because the store is refusing to help.

My husband and I have had two bad experiences not once but twice! In a month! The first time we asked one of the employees a question about a part we needed for our gas stove he couldnt answer our question but proceeded to call another employee who he said had been working there for years and who he knew would know the answer. The other man came; my husband asked him the same question and in a rude loud tone just flat out said no that he never heard of what he was talking about. My husband is an appliance installer and had seen the piece he was looking for many times; he knew what he what he was asking for. My husband smiled and asked if someone else would know he yelled and said no again and went on to say that what he was looking for no one made the other employee looked uncomfortable and when the other one stormed off apologized for his behavior. We told him it wasnt his fault and left out cart there and walked out. The second time we went to rent a piece of equipment since we are remodeling our home. We began telling the employee what we needed and what we were using it for he continued to tell us he didnt know he wasnt sure was very rude about it. Home Depot needs to better train their employees on how to talk to people! That is not how you treat your customers so disappointed! Only reason why we even went back is because were in a time crunch and the location was convenient.

I am a church pastor who is helping a church member. She is a widow and has to work hard for living. She paid for replacing window and door in 2014. Door and window have been replaced by two different contractors who were sent by Home Depot. When she needed work on her driveway, driveway contractor told her that he cannot get permit because there is an expired permit for door replacement. Window contractor called the final inspection from the city and closed out without a problem. However door contractor did not call for inspection and now permit is expired. Home Depot is siding with contractor that owner must call and get the final inspection and managers want to give PIN # so owner can call for inspection. They want to give this information after almost two years have past. What upset us is Home Depot does not care for the customer (widow) but put blame on the custormer. We have thought that Home Depot is company that can be trusted. But we are finding out that HOME DEPOT DOES NOT CARE AT ALL. I have talked with City Inspector twice and confirmed that whoever applied for permit has PIN # and that person (company) need to call for inspection.

I used to work at THD many a years ago, so I still know my stuff (yes, Pro-Desk, looking at you). Me and the Beau come here often since we just moved to Austin and are still in the process of decorating and settling in to our 2 bedroom apartment. I have always been glad that they open early and close reasonably late, which is super convenient for us. My beau always insists on asking an associate for help finding an item, but I always whip out my super-smart phone and browse to THDs website and search for the item, and I can instantly know which aisle & bay the item is located in. *Mic Drop* BOOM. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because my beau was about to get into an "Im right, your not" debacle with an associate in hardware on which kind of screw would fit one of the knobs of our master bedrooms dresser..... and he was not impressed at all by it. But, it was fun to watch :)

Worst customer experienced I have had in a long time. It took me going up and down the isles multiple times to find an assistant who was incapable of helping me. We wandered around the store while he picked up items that did not even remotely resemble what I had described. I finally left to the section where I thought my part with me, only to have to coerce another unfriendly, uninformed assistant into helping me. He vaugely found what I was looking for, immediately walking away as I asked if there were other options with him replying "no thats all we have putting next to 0 effort into helping me. I will be doing anything I can to avoid this experience again. I would expect much more from Home Depot employees, I stand corrected dealing with people who cant understand a simple description or put in absolutely 0 effort towards customer service.

Id have to say that my experience at this home depot is about the same as any other one Ive been too. Most (not all, but most) of the employees have no particular expertise in any field except retail. They know they are selling something, but dont know anything about what they are selling. I find that they are often unable to answer questions such as: Can I use a 5-wire thermostat on a 4-wire system? Whats the difference between the 3 prong single phase 220V plug and the 4 prong version? Is electrical PVC conduit different than regular cold water PVC pipe? So, in conclusion, if you know exactly what you are looking for, dont ever have any technical questions, and keep your reciepts in case you need to return something; then HD is probably an OK store. Personally, I prefer to shop at the little mom and pop hardware stores.
