My husband and I bought a rocker/recliner from Picket Fences. First of all, the sales staff quoted me the incorrect price and when my husband went in to order it, they were completely rude when he questioned why it was more expensive (they had originally said that there was no upgrade charge for the fabric I chose). I told him to hold off and I went in to look at it again and get the low-down on the pricing situation. They were running a "sale" but had actually marked up the chair from $625 to $695 to "mark it down" for their "sale". We were prepared to pay the $625, so the "sale" was inconsequential to us (just dishonest and yet another negative mark in my book for the store). Even though we werent happy with their service, we did pay the upgrade fee and got our chair...I now wish that my 7 mo pregnant self could have held out to order it online. The whole experience was negative. Spend your money elsewhere!

I am 8 month pregnant, I bougth hosiery a month ago for a wedding out of the country. I just returned from my trip and since I did not use it I wanted to return it. It was in its close original package. I went to the store and they looked at me as if I was trying to return i am not sure what. I said, it is completely close. They said we have a 10 DAYS return policy plus that is consider underwear and those sales are final. Definitely, will shop at Babies are Us where you can return anything you have not used.

My wife and I bought a rocking chair on our last visit. The rocking chair is incredible and easily one of the best purchases weve made during pregnancy. Weve had several smaller shopping trips over the last couple of months. (Were due this week!) The staff is generally young (college age) but cheerful and helpful. Theres additional parking in the back. TIP: Take 34th St to Wabash and take the parking entrance to the back of the store.

Cute stuff inside, I was ready toy spend some money for our second son. Unfortunately I will not go back since they did not let me use the restroom while I was shopping. I have never heard of a maternity store prohibiting a 9 month pregnant woman from using the bathroom. It may seem like a minor issue to some, but when you have a watermelon pressing on your bladder you may sing a different tune.

Extremely overpriced for what they have to offer. The clothes are $40-60... For babies that will grow out of these things in days/weeks. The maternity clothes are high end - shorts for $200, dresses around $250. So not worth it for things I will be wearing for a few months. Much better deals in other stores.

picket fences is a great spot to create custom bedding, find nursery decor and shop for stylish maternity pieces. they used to have more clothing, but are mostly gifts, accessories and decor now.

This store has beautiful things and their sales make it *just* affordable. As much as I like this store, I think it may do them some good to have some less expensive items.
